TOPIC: CAPM exam results

When do you find out the results of the CAPM online proctored exam? Im confused as i finished the exam, saw a congratulations but clicked next to fast. Doing so I thought i passed the exam but also remember seeing something along the lines of we'll email you a more detailed description of the results in 1-3 business days. Does anyone know after you click next after the last question that you get your results immediately or am I to wait the 1-3 days to find out if I passed. Talk about an emotional rollercoaster. Seeing the words "Congratulations" at the end of an exam is misleading.

I thought i passed the exam but also show more detailed description of the results in 1-3 business days. I to wait the 1-3 days to find out if I passed. Seeing the words "Congratulation you are certified associate in PM" at the end of an exam is misleading. And my PMI portal show certification status ( Get Certified) . Please let me know how i can get my result in soft or hard form

I have done the exam on 5th of July 2019 and I got my performance as pass and then I received a mail after I asked for my performance analysis mail they sent it as fail while my performance is in passing bar. Then I sent a mail and still im dying here know what's my result it. Im so confused. The day i sat for the exam I have passed then I came home they say fail.

First of all... good news: I checked for your name in the PMI online registry at certification.pmi.org/registry.aspx and according to the registry you passed your CAPM exam. Here is the text I see copy/pasted:

My recommendations:
1. Log in to your account at PMI and check what your status says here
2. Contact PMI customer care (via chat or email) and explain your situation to them.

In the end, only PMI can help you with certainty, while we here can only guess. But currently, I would guess that you passed!

OH... you know what...? Is there a typo in your name?
- Your name in our student list: Rathnasiri
- Your name as it appears on the PMI registry: Rathnsiri

So if the name in our list is correct, then somehow there is a typo in the PMI registry and that may be the cause of your trouble. I would now definitely speak to PMI in order to fix that.

I have been going through the same...but hoping that pmi will not congratulate , if they have to say..no you failed

I just did my CAPM Exam today, January 15 at 2 AM EST. After the exam it says Congratulations on your CAPM Certification but then it says you will receive an email within 1-3 days of your performance result.

What an emotional rollercoaster. I thought that is it, that I passed when I saw the word "Congratulations" at the end of my exam. I guess I have to wait for the email. Crossing my fingers, I have a great feeling I did it but I will not know until that email is sent.

I got my email confirmation 2.5 hours after the exam. It has been a very stressful 2.5 months of Project Management Training and on-going preparatory review. Considering this pandemic, no daycare and with fulltime work. Finally pressure is off my shoulder and on my 1st Attempt, I Passed. I am now PMI Certified!!!

To update this thread- I took the exam on 4-13-23 and encountered the same dilemma. After the exam I saw a “Congratulations” screen, but was unsure. Within a few hours I received an email confirming that I had indeed passed the exam.
