Yogeeta,
It depends on your programs guidance. If it exceeds the program threshold for change, yes. Most administrative changes don't go through a board. Update the log when changes are made. If they require approval its after the approval. However, our system tracks the rejections in a separate database for reference.
Before the baselines are established, changes are not required to be formally controlled by the Perform Integrated Change Control process. Once the project is baselined, change requests go through this process. As a general rule, each project’s configuration management plan should be defined which project artifacts need to be placed under configuration control. Any change in a configuration element should be formally controlled and will require a change request. PMBOK[R] Guide – Sixth Edition

hi everyone,
I have a query regarding change control process.
Do we raise change request for project document updates?
Eg if a stakeholder is identified during project execution,do we raise a change request to update the stakeholder register? Also if we want to update the RTM for any error in document found during project execution, what to do in such cases?

Another query is when do we update the change log? Is it before the change request is initiated or after approval/rejection from CCB?
