Joseph Flanders	Hello, The PMP is less about giving you the skills and more about showing you already have the skills. It is valuable if you want to show that you know your stuff. As far as what it teaches, it is all theory mostly. To keep it certified tou will have to keep pursuing additional training. Some of that training is certain to apply to the skills you're after. However, you don't need the PMP to utilize training.
