I passed my PMP Exam today with 5 (Above Targets) in all domains (This is my first attempt)
Materials Used:
PMBOK Guide ( Read it from cover to cover; and re-read for more understanding)
PM Training Exam Simulator by Christopher Scordo [Took 35 Tests (50 Questions each), and 20 Knowledge Area Tests (10 Questions each)
Prepcast PMP Exam Simulator by Cornelius Fichtner (Took 7 PMP Exams, ITTO Exam, 2 Quizzes); Passed PMP Exams 4 &5 only (72% and 71%). Scored between 60% and 69% in the other exams.
PM Prepcast podcast
YouTube videos of areas that required more understanding
Preparation Time: 15 weeks
Lessons Learned (Real PMP Exam):
The exam modeled the Prepcast Exam Simulator
The answers to questions didn’t look attractive
Elimination method worked
Just 2 simple calculations that didn’t require a calculator.
For a particular calculation question, I marked, guessed, and I moved on to save time.
I didn’t have the time to review my flagged questions, but I made sure I picked the best answers before moving on.
Thanks to prepcast. A friend of mine recommended Prepcast to me and I am glad that I heeded his advice.
