TOPIC: How to extend PMP eligibility

I was wondering if there is any option to extend the PMP eligibility beyond the 1 year time period?

I have never heard that PMI has extended someone's one-year eligibility period. I checked the PMP handbook just now and there is no mention about extensions. Just that "the period is one year", which is repeated several times.
