Hello Ashvini,

Not a problem. Having a gap in your project management experience is acceptable. So it's not a problem if your experience 'stopped' in 2017.

But... there is another problem in your example: PMI says the following: "All project management experience must have been accrued within the last eight consecutive years prior to your application submission." This means that you cannot submit any experience that happened before 2011. Therefore -- in your example -- the experience from 2008 all the way to 2011-06-22 (= today minus 8 years) cannot be submitted, because it is older than 8 years.

For appearing in the PM exam, one has to mention about his project management experience in the application form. The required experience is 4500 or 7500 hours based on educational
qualification. Suppose some one submits the PMP exam application in year 2019 & his PM experience is from year 2008 to 2017. The gap of project management experience from year 2018 till year 2019 will be acceptable by PMI or not while reviewing the PMP exam candidate's application?
