Hi Von. It depends which area you are referring to. Project management skills can be used in the research environment such as clinical trials or any retrospective study. ACRP has announced ACRP-PM certification for those who are ACRP certified and have experience in clinical research project management. You can google "ACRP-PM" and find out more. If you are a professor teaching in a university, you can apply for a grant via PMI Education Foundation to help youths transform their lives through project management. You can google "PMI Education Foundation" to learn more about what they do.

Hope this helps.

Hi there!

May I ask the moderators here to comment on this question?

Would you happen to know of actual cases where a PMP proved to be relevant and helpful in the academe? Put another way, if you happen to work in the academe, to what extent can your PMP add value to your work as a teacher cum researcher?

Thanks.
