Now with the switch to PMBOK 5th edition, We expect to see new update for the PMP and CAPM Certification qualifications and exams.

Until today, less than a month for the new exams based on PMBOK 5ed. the PMP Handbook is still the same and no sign of the new one, anyone is aware of the new conditions, rules, exam grading etc...?

Actually this is quite normal and nothing to be worried about. In fact, we do NOT expect any changes to the PMP Handbook or to the PMP Examination Content Outline. Here is why:
  • The PMBOK Guide contains the project management framework. The "HOW" of doing project management.
  • The PMP Handbook talks about the PMP Exam Application and Administration It has no real influence on the exam questions..
  • The PMP Examination Content Outline talks about "WHAT" we project managers do on a high-level, like initiate the project, plan a project, etc.
The questions that you find on the exam are largely based on the PMBOK Guide (HOW) and they are framed in the domains described in the Exam Content Outline (WHAT).

In other words: At this time only the HOW is changing, but not the WHAT.
Until Next Time,
