Hi Everybody,

I am subscribed to Formula Guide and receiving new letters on daily basis. Last Wednesday I received about Total/Free Float.

Here is the example:

Activity 1: Early Start 1. Duration 5
Activity 2: Early Start 12. Will start after Activity 1 is finished.
Activity 3: Early Start 10. Will start after Activity 1 is finished.
Activity 4: Early Start 14. Will start after Activity 1 is finished.
As you can see, the EARLIEST start from among all of the following activities is 10.

Here is the formula

Free Float = ES of Following - ES of Present - DUR of Present

I am bit confuse about the term "Present" as it says ES of Present and DUR of Present. I could not figure it out from where I will take the Present.

Please help me. I need it urgently in order to have clear concept and step by step example.

Thanks and advance,

Qayyum
