Living in Singapore has me confused about when the switch actually happened here. I know the global launch was July, but I have seen conflicting information about whether it happened everywhere at once.

Some countries switched in July while others have different timelines. I read that China is holding the old format until September 12 and then switching fully in December. Where does Southeast Asia fit?

My exam is in October and I do not want to walk in expecting the old format only to be blindsided. Anyone else in the region dealing with this?

Niamh,

I havent seen anything on PMI's site talking about a phased roll-out based on geography. Maybe one of the other Mods here that has a finger on the pulse of PMI has different information. The last couple of test changes were a single date throughout the system.

Good luck!

The reason why PMI China is waiting until September to switch is simple: The PMP Exam in China is still paper-based.

If you are taking the computer-based PMP exam, then you are almost certainly taking the new exam.

My recommendation would be for you to visit www.pmi.org/about/contact and ask PMI directly.
