Kay... You’re asking exactly the right question, because there are two things at play here:
your purchase date and
your access period.
First, your current course is fully aligned with the
current PMP exam, which remains in place until early July 2026. So if you’re able to take your exam before the change, you’re fully covered with what you already have.
Now, regarding the
new 2026 version:
- If you purchased in February 2026 and have not yet passed your exam, then you qualify for a free upgrade to the new version of the training materials.
- Access to any course, current or updated, still follows your subscription duration. If your access expires, it does not automatically extend beyond that period. (For example, if your exam simulator expires today, then it doesn't magically continue. You'd need to buy an extension.)
In other words:
- You will be eligible to receive the updated materials (because you bought in February 2026)
- But continued access depends on your active subscription (Meaning that your current simulator access ends based on your specific situation. Usually that's 90 days after first date of use)
If your timeline shifts toward the new exam, the key is to make sure your access window still supports your preparation plan.
We’ve outlined all of this, including upgrade rules, timelines, and what to expect from the new materials, in detail here:
