It's my experience that the "immediate result" and the "final, notified result" are usually always in agreement. I have not heard of a single case where a result was changed between the immediate notification and the final notification.
Back in 2019 when I took the exam at a testing center it took three or four business days to get my status updated on the PMI site.
I got the on-site preliminary pass/fail result, but not the formal report yet—do they really take up to 48 hours to email it? Also, how reliable is that preliminary result? I’m curious how often, if ever, the official results end up contradicting what you see at the test center.
