Okay, so PMBOK 8 ditched the old Knowledge Areas and Process Groups for Performance Domains and Principles. As a solo freelancer who manages all my client projects, this sounds more like how I actually work: holistically, not in silos.

But for the exam: does this mean I should completely stop memorizing ITTOs from my old PMBOK 7 guide? Are the new 'Principles' just fluffy stuff, or are they the new core of the exam? Trying to figure out if this update is a gift or a trap for someone like me.

Matthew,

Follow the Exam Content Outline. That contains the necessary references for the exam.
