Agile principles is fairly new to me but it's wild how familiar some of it feels. I thought daily check-ins, adapting to change, and focusing on team collaboration was just norms but actually maps to the frameworks.

Were there specific Agile practices you were unknowingly applying? Let’s talk about it!

Agile principles often mirror what effective teams naturally gravitate toward, especially in fast-paced or collaborative environments. The core of Agile is about people, adaptability, and delivering value — so if you've ever been part of a team that works well together, you’ve probably applied Agile practices without realizing it.

In addition to the practices you have mentioned, I can add on a few more.

Funny how often that happens - many good PM habits align with Agile without us realizing. I had a similar moment when I saw how much of my stakeholder routines
basically mirror Scrum ceremonies.
Shows how the principles are less about method and more about mindset.

Learning Agile, I noticed I already do a lot of those things. I also thought it was just common sense, but I've talked about Agile concepts with a friend and he's convinced they do not work and could never work. So it's not just common to employ Agile methodology.

100% would agree here!

Alot of my day to day before I earned my PMP were built around agile practices (daily scrums , centralized communication, etc). When I began to study for my exam it became evident that my life followed that of an Agile project group than a traditional waterfall engagement. I think because I'm in software we are forced to be more agile and dynamic with our approach because our world is always changing on the fly!

In the early 2000's I lead a development team that practicied iterative development in short 2-3 week releases. The systemic design included DevOps thinking were we automated using craddle to grave self xlcleaning strategies. This basis gave us complete automated access to history and the ability to forecast. It was the only automotive service processing system that I know of which was accountable to the penny, both payable and receivable, with visibility to that data at the ginger tip of the business owners. And my teams were so productive that they were regularly sniped by other IT teams managers for their teams.
