Service Update: Website and Simulator Back Online

We are happy to let you know that as of around 11:45 AM today (Phoenix time) the PrepCast website and the PrepCast Simulator are back up and running normally.

What happened?
Our hosting provider encountered a major database issue that caused both the website and simulator to be unavailable. The problem was complex and required overnight troubleshooting by both our internal team and Rackspace engineers. At one point, two backup processes ran at the same time, which led to a system deadlock and stopped the database from responding.

Where we stand now
- The outage is resolved, and services are running stable.
- The root cause of the original problem is still unknown, but we will continue working with Rackspace for answers.
- Our support team will ensure that anyone who made a purchase during the downtime has correctly provisioned access credentials.
