Hello All,

Taking my 3rd PMP Boot Camp 22-26 OCT. Welcome suggestions to prepare beforehand. I found some videos with sample Qs, but I am not sure whether they re more helpful than looking at the 6th Edition PMBOK online.

This is my 3rd attempt after the previous two iterations were a failure (thanks PMTI for your superficial review guide).

Thanks,

Lee

Lee,

You have taken a PMP boot camp two times before? I hope it is one that gives you a money-back guarantee. There are some that will pay for your subsequent attempts if you end up failing your exam. They're that confident you will pass it using their method. There shouldn't be much to prep for a crash course, unless they specifically tell you to do something. I would look maybe into another crash course, if you're still not passing with the one you've been using.

To clarify, I took one BC and the test twice before. This next camp seems confident you'll pass. I'm leaving nothing to chance b/c I'm reading the 6th and 7th PMBOK before camp starts on 22/Oct.

Hi,

Well, reading the PMBoK Guide beforehand is undoubtedly not a failure; however, it makes more sense to use it as a companion throughout the BC to deepen your knowledge and understanding.
IMPORTANT: PMBoK Guide 6 is no longer valid and has already been officially retired by PMI.
The content of this edition in terms of Processes, ITTOs, and so on has been moved to the official "Processes Practice Guide" (can be downloaded as a member.
By the way, it will be interesting to see what PMI does with this Processes Guide, since the Processes will have a comeback in the upcoming new 8th Edition of the PMBOK Guide.

In terms of readings and recommended sources, you should not only refer to the PMBoK Guide but also to the Agile Practitioner Guide The BA Guide and a few others. Refer to offficial list of references by PMI at pmi.org.
