A while back, I saw a thread about using AI tools to prep for the PMP exam and it got me thinking... has anyone actually tried it?

I’m curious how helpful it is for reviewing concepts, breaking down tricky questions, or even building a study plan. If you’ve used any tools that made a real difference, I’d love to hear about them.

Open to free or paid options. Just trying to figure out if this is worth exploring alongside my usual materials.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Matthew,

PMI's very own PM Infinity Tool can be helpful for Exam Preparation, as it allows you to practice with sample questions and mock exams. Especially, cause it is trained on the vast PMI Content specifically.
In general, you can utilize any GenAi Tool of your choice to create a "Sparringspartner" for PMP or any other Certification.
Imagine your CustomGPT or Project in ChatGPT.
I also heard that Google's Notebook LLM can be a good one.

At this point, I'm not aware of any specific tool created just for this purpose, but if you have an idea, maybe let's build something together?!

On the other hand, this one here might be helpfull. www.aisheets.study

I'd be very hesitant to use an AI system as they are still "hallucinating" answers at times. Putting a lot of time and treasure in preparing for the exam to have an AI system lead you to failure would not be a great feeling.

I can be, at times, a Luddite when it comes to things though.

Good luck!

Hello Matthew,

I have used AI a few times to help prepare for a test. It works better if you already know the content. It does make mistakes, and sometimes correcting the mistakes it makes helped me to better understand concepts. It can also point you in the right direction and break down concepts you don't understand.

In some ways it's like a private tutor, which is better and worse. I have found many tutors don't seem to understand my question or can't explain it in a way that makes sense to me. In class, for example, I will ask a question a few times and then after the third time I still don't understand, but just tell the teacher I do so not to waste everyone's time (I think a lot of us have been here).

As I said, it's a very useful tool, in my opinion, but just be prepared to correct it when it makes a mistake.
