Hi Anthony,
I would say some of the skills taught throughout, in regards to planning and structuring my attack of a "project" are extremely useful for me in my day to day as a PM as well as my extracurricular activities as a Coach/Director. Immediately after I passed I became eligible for senior level promotions as it was a pre-requisite for the Role in my Company/Org. Customers i worked with on a day to day began to listen, follow, and respect my opinion on project approach more the they did when I was just a PM in title. Beforehand, they would always ask me to refer to what my Boss thought would be best path forward, as he was an already Certified PM.
My day to day is definitely more project attuned or focused. Its hard to send so many hours in the PMBOK and not see the world like Neo in the Matrix after where everything is a project. Down to having my kids clean their rooms haha (tip: I take a very Agile approach with check ins after milestones being picked up like toys, clothes, art supplies etc)
