Hi Susan,
I generally recommend trying to think of things logically how they would work on a project, and then apply the PMI lens. For instance:
- Before you would transfer the final deliverables during project closure, you would first ensure their acceptance in Validate Scope.
- Before you release your team you'll want to ensure they complete or participate in any and all relevant exercises. They would need to be present for lessons learned, confirming final deliverables meet quality, etc.
Your project closeout report is essentially the final product capturing a final acceptance from the customer. You'll want to ensure any difficult conversations happen beforehand (i.e. why we confirm clients accept deliverables in validate scope).
Hope that helps,
Kyle
