Deepti,

If you're given all of the information to solve the problem, don't read any more into it. At 2 months into a 5 month project, you should be 40% complete. The question states you're 35% complete. Therefore you are behind schedule.

You have been assigned as a project manager for a project expected to last five months. The project has a budget of $450,000 and should be implemented in three different departments in your organization. While reviewing the status of the project after two months, you find that the project is 35 percent complete. Which of the following statements is TRUE about your project?
SELECT THE CORRECT ANSWER
a. Your project is on schedule
b. Your project is behind schedule
c. Your project is ahead of schedule
d. You cannot determine if your project is behind or ahead of schedule from the information given.

Correct answer is b

My query, is it ok to assume % of work is equally distributed across months, especially when option d is given.
I agree assuming work to be equally distributed among months then answer b is right, but what is this assumption is not true.
