I found a very similar question in the PMI ACP Prepcast simulator.

Here´s the explanation related to this question:

"The Team puts Stories in the Sprint Backlog in order to hold (or contain) a budget for the Story Points that the Team knows it´s going to need to spend on these things. We call these Stories PlaceHolder Stories, as they hold a place in our Sprint Backlog for Stories in a general category that the team doesn´t know the details about yet".
