Just to confirm that I passed my PMP examinations this morning at @07:00 GMT. My study plan was for over 3 months because I stopped to write a quick certification in between.
I studied using the PMP Premium PrepCast by listening to all Cornelius virtually every day for an average of 2-3hrs. I followed up with the timed questions on the PM Exam Simulator and discovered that
I need more time to fully grasp the basics. Suddenly Cornelius advertised the PMP weekend coaching by Dan Ryan. I listened to some of Dan's videos and decided that he is the missing link.
I subscribed to Dan Ryan's daily coaching for 3 weeks and started testing myself on the PM Examination simulator. I wrote 5 full simulator exams (80%, 88%, 81%, 78.5% & 79.5%). Uncountable timed and learning quizzes. At this point, I knew I was ready. My initial date of 30th June got canceled because the PMP exam will not come up on my system even after the system test and checking in. I waited 5 days to resolve and re-book the exam.
Key lessons learned is to understand and know what method and model of study works for you. Visuals are easy to understand for me and that is where Dan's videos and coaching helped.
All in all I thank God because it all ended in joy.
