Today i cleared PMP certification, big relief when i saw congratulations message after 4 hours of exam.

I wanted to do PMP few years before but due to other circumstances it was not possible. Finally i did it on 19th July 2018.

These are the steps followed during my PMP study journey:
1. Sign up for PMI membership in october 2017;
2. November 2017 submitted application for PMP exam and application approved.
3. Initially i started with Pmbok 5 wanted to clear before March 2018. Again procrastinated.
4. From March 2018, started reading PMBOK6.
5. Download, read and understand the PMP Handbook, Exam content outline.
6. Purchased hard copy of Pmbok 6, Q&A by PMI.
7. Enrolled to Pmprepcast mock up tests, this is the best thing i did.
8. Started reading Pmbok 6 and started practicing Q&A by Pm Prep cast.
9. Started review and analyzing wrong answers
10. Monday to friday i was practicing 4 hours daily, weekend 6 hours. Family support is very much needed.
11. Developed study plan, good to consider additional books for reference. There are many good books available in the market.
12. Started developing how to read lengthy questions and choose best answers.
13. Always remember it is not about right answer it should be best answer.
14. 3 months looks ideal preparation time, it depends on the individuals and preparation time.
15. prepare to sit and focus for 4 hours , it will be key for the exam.
16. Connect with PMP groups in facebook and whatsapp , start solving questions and participate in discussions.
17. Revise Pmbok6 end to end along with PM prepcast videos+Pm prepcast simulator.
18. Few days before exam hydrate and sleep well daily.
19. On the exam day , keep yourself relaxed and focused.
20. Take the benefits of exam lessons learned and other forums from Pm Prep cast.
20. I took 5 minutes water break after 110 questions in the exam , it helped me to focus back.
