I passed the PMP on my first try.
Here's how I prepared:
1. Read Rita's PMP Exam Prep, Highlighted book, took quizzes- 1st time around quiz scores ~60%
2. Studied flash cards on Quizlet.com
3. Re-read Rita's book and re-took quizzes scores ~80%
4. Took PM PrepCast Practice Exams. Scores: 61%, 65%, 75% 3x in a row. (Tests were very much like the real thing).
5. Took a PMP boot camp (waste of time)
6. Passed on my first try with MP in all areas. (never read PMBOK- but looked through it a little as reference).
