I appeared for PMP exam on 01-Aug. I passed the exam; feels super!
I used the following approach:
Read the PM Prepacat Audio/Video material once
Went through the PMBOK once
Started giving exams through Prepacast Simulator
In parallel used RMC book to sharpen the concepts and difficult areas. Read this book once and subsequently difficult chapters twice
In total I gave 4 practise test. I could maximum reach 82% in Simulator since my study pattern was not regular and had breaks within the total 5 months preparation.
Most important was I went for the exam with +ve mind set and believing that I will do very well.
Must say the exam was very tough; much tougher than the 4 simulator tests I gave and to my own surprise, considering the numbers of years I have been in project management.
The hard work paid off and I am now PMP certified :)
Trick is to give as many papers as possible and get comfortable with tricky and wordy questions and getting used to giving 100% focus for 4 hours.
Thanks to PM Prepcast.
All the best to all of you.
