I successfully passed the PMP exam. My preparation journey can be divided into three main stages:

1. Initial Study Approach
• Started with the PMP book but realized that practicing questions was more effective for grasping PMI’s mindset.
• Completed a 60-PDU training program, which provided a solid foundation.

2. Use of Simulators
PREPCAST Deluxe Simulator (2100+ questions): Attempted all questions multiple times, cross-checked concepts with the PMP book, PMI mindset resources, and ChatGPT. This helped me master areas such as change requests, contingency, stakeholder management, risk, and issue handling.
PMI Official Practice Simulator (~700 questions + 2 full exams + 12–13 mini tests): Although smaller in size, it provided highly valuable exposure to PMI-style questions with different perspectives.

3. Key Learnings & Exam Observations
• The real exam did not repeat any simulator questions word-for-word, but the concepts were consistent. The key is to understand why an answer is correct rather than memorizing it.
• Time management was the toughest challenge. The exam requires quick, confident decision-making. Overthinking wastes valuable minutes, so it’s best to trust your informed choice and move forward.

4. Final Takeaways
• Success comes from mastering concepts rather than memorizing questions.
• Multiple simulators are helpful to expose yourself to varied situations.
• Effective pacing and time strategy are crucial, as time pressure is the biggest factor in the exam.
