I successfully passed the PMP exam. My preparation journey can be divided into three main stages:

1. Initial Study Approach
• Started with the PMP book but realized that practicing questions was more effective for grasping PMI’s mindset.
• Completed a 60-PDU training program, which provided a solid foundation.

2. Use of Simulators
• PREPCAST Deluxe Simulator (2100+ questions): Attempted all questions multiple times, cross-checked concepts with the PMP book, PMI mindset resources, and ChatGPT. This helped me master areas such as change requests, contingency, stakeholder management, risk, and issue handling.
• PMI Official Practice Simulator (~700 questions + 2 full exams + 12–13 mini tests): Although smaller in size, it provided highly valuable exposure to PMI-style questions with different perspectives.

3. Key Learnings & Exam Observations
• The real exam did not repeat any simulator questions word-for-word, but the concepts were consistent. The key is to understand why an answer is correct rather than memorizing it.
• Time management was the toughest challenge. The exam requires quick, confident decision-making. Overthinking wastes valuable minutes, so it’s best to trust your informed choice and move forward.
