Materials used:
- PMP Exam Prep book by Rita Mulcahy
- PrepCast Training videos
- PrepCast Exam Simulator
Here are some of the key take-aways from my experience:
1. Most of the questions were scenario-based
2. Only some questions had obvious answers
3. Many questions had two close options that I needed to evaluate
4. There were no questions which involved numerical calculations
5. Most of the questions were based on the Hybrid methodology
6. I managed to complete the test with almost 40 minutes remaining.
The PrepCast Simulator was a HUGE help. It was the only practice test I went through and I feel that it is sufficient to crack the actual PMP exam.
I completed all 4 tests twice - I scored between 70-75% in all the tests in the first try and above 90% in the second try.
You need not have an in-depth understanding of the previous PMP structure, but still need to know the high level details.
Some tips:
1. Utilize the 10 minute breaks. Taking the entire test in a single stretch is very tiring.
2. Review the answers.
3. Time yourself.
All the best !!!
