Here are some of the characteristics that are closely related: the length of hours, the inability to pause the time, the variety of questions, the wording of questions, the length of questions. If you get test taking strategies for the PMP exam and apply them to the Prepcast simulation, and then if you do well (80% scores), you will be confident that you're ready for the real exam.
Every PMP exam is unique. You may get some scenario questions, or you may not. I recall there were one or two scenarios that applied to two or three questions.
