TOPIC: Applied Concepts - Authority.

I started now with Applied Concepts (from E80).

I have the following questions:

1. Are theses concept which are required for PMP Exam and not detailed in the PMBok Guide ? I noticed for example the "Authority" types are not mentioned in the PMBok Guide when I did search against the PDF.

2. I remember I come across Authority Type in the PM PrepCast, but not exactly sure which Episode. Appreciate it if could let me know which one ? -- I found it, it is E09.05.01.

3. It seems that I have to go though the Applie Concepts for the PMP Exam, right ? How much effort I need to spend on such Episodes ?

Here are my answers.

1.) Yes. Only 75% of the PMP exam is based on concepts that come from the PMBOK Guide. These "applied concepts" interviews introduce you to additional concepts that may show up on your exam.

2.) HR Theory part 1

3. You have to go through them with the same diligence that you apply to all the other study materials.
