Thanks Cornelius ... it seems my biggest distractions are work and family responsibilities.
... but I will continue with my pursuit of PMP ...:) :) Thanks again for your quick response.

Bella,

Yes, you are using this forum absolutely the way it should be. So congratulations on your first forum post ever!

Don't worry about the timing. Studying for the PMP Exam is a very personal matter. Some students go faster, some take longer. If you need to spend 2 weeks on each chapter in order to get through the material then so be it. There is nothing wrong with that.

My recommendation is always: Proceed at the speed that is comfortable for you. Nobody forces you to go faster.

About the questions: Yes. If you begin answering questions you will undoubtedly come across questions from topics that you have not yet studied. Read the question, make a guess of what the correct answer could be and then see if you were right. With each question that you go through you will inevitably learn something new.

Begin with free questions from around the internet right now and once you feel more comfortable and have read more in the PMBOK Guide then move on to a paid simulator.

Hello -
I am trying, with great difficulty, to study according to plan. Right now I am behind 2 weeks with the PM Study Coach activities.

I am rethinking whether it's better to listen to all the PrepCast Audio/Video and then read the PMBOK Guide rather than doing it on parallel topics. It's difficult to concentrate reading the book (I am trying ...:( ).
I just ordered the Andy Crowe book.

Take Action 4 of the Study Coach suggests that I begin taking formal sample exams. I guess the sample exams will include topics that I have not read or listened to, which will affect my score.

Any suggestion???

Thanks.

B

P.S. This is the first web forum I have participated - wonder if I am doing this right !!!
