I have not written the CAPM, just the PMP, but the CAPM is based on PMBOK. CAPM is geared towards entry level Project Managers, where the PMP is more widely recognized and sought after for experienced Project Managers. I found this link that provides a good comparison / overview.
I'd like to hear the difference between the CAPM and PMP.
1. For a CAPM certificate do you still have to know everything in the PMBOK or is it easier or just less questions on the test?
2. What exactly are the differences?
3. I never see job posts that ask for CAPM only a PMP cert. Why is that?
Any input would be great. I'm trying to make a hard decision now of which way to go.
Thanks.
