Hello everyone,

We have important news regarding the PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner) exam. As of November 8, 2024, the exam has been updated to align with the new PMI-ACP Exam Content Outline. This means everyone taking the exam from this date forward will be assessed based on the updated domains, tasks, and enablers outlined by PMI.

In response to these changes, we'd like to update you on our two main prep products:

1. The PMI-ACP Exam Simulator

We are currently reviewing all the questions in our PMI-ACP Exam Simulator. Each question is being meticulously evaluated to ensure it remains valid, fair, and relevant to the four domains of the updated exam. While we've begun this process, we cannot say exactly when it will be completed.

In the meantime, we're offering the current version of our simulator at a 50% discount. Although it's not a perfect match to the updated exam, we believe it still provides significant value. The questions focus on general agile project management concepts, which remain consistent even as exam domains change. Topics like product backlog management and servant leadership are fundamental and continue to be relevant for both the old and new exams.

Our Upgrade Plan:

Once the updated simulator is ready, we'll release the new version. At that time, we'll offer a free upgrade to all students who:
  • Have an active subscription to the old version.
  • Have not yet passed their PMI-ACP exam.

Students meeting these criteria can request the update, but only after the new simulator is available. We'll provide more information once we are ready.

2. The Agile PrepCast

Our Agile PrepCast is a comprehensive PMI-ACP exam prep course. While we don't plan to update this course immediately, we'll continue to offer it at least until February 28, 2025, as PMI will accept this course until the end of March.

According to PMI's requirements for "Professional Learning":
  • 28 hours of formal training in agile practices, frameworks, and methodologies are required.
  • 21 hours will be accepted until March 31, 2025.

Our Agile PrepCast provides 40.5 hours of training, exceeding PMI's requirements. We'll review the course before then to determine how well it covers the domains, tasks, and enablers of the new exam. Depending on our findings, we may continue offering it beyond this date.

If you have any questions or need further assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out. We're committed to supporting your journey toward PMI-ACP certification during this transition.

Hi, I was trying to claim PDUs on the existing ACP course. Could you help divide the PSUs across Ways of Workin, Power Skills, and business Acumen areas?
The ones shown on the certificate itself is different.

We have received the following questions from our customers:

Q: By when will the existing mock test be updated? What actions are required from my end?

We understand you're eager to know when our existing mock tests will be updated to align with the new exam content outline. Since PMI released the updated outline only a few weeks ago, we're currently working diligently to review and revise all our simulator questions. This comprehensive process involves ensuring each question aligns with the new domains, tasks, and enablers specified by PMI. At this moment, we cannot provide an exact completion date for the updated simulator. Rest assured, we will announce a timeline as soon as we have a clearer understanding of our progress.

Q: So it worth practicing the existing mock test and appear for the new updated exam? Will it help to clear the exam?

Many of you are questioning whether it's worthwhile to practice with the existing mock tests for the new exam. While the exam structure and content outline have changed, the foundational principles and concepts of Agile project management remain consistent. Our current simulator focuses on essential Agile topics such as product backlog management, servant leadership, and other core practices that are still highly relevant.

Practicing with the existing mock tests can reinforce your understanding of these fundamental concepts and enhance your readiness for the exam. However, since the exam has only recently changed and we have limited feedback from those who have taken the new version, we cannot guarantee that our simulator fully reflects the updated exam content. While we believe it offers significant value, it's important to supplement your study based on the new PMI-ACP Exam Content Outline.

Q: Should I just wait for the updated mock questions and post your confirmation should I proceed with the practice and appear for the exam?

The decision to wait for the updated simulator or proceed with the current one depends on your personal circumstances and timeline for taking the exam. If you plan to sit for the exam soon, utilizing the existing simulator can be beneficial in maintaining your study momentum and solidifying your grasp of Agile methodologies. If your exam date is flexible and you prefer materials fully aligned with the new content, you might consider waiting until the updated simulator is available.

Regardless of your choice, we recommend:
  • Reviewing the New Exam Content Outline: Familiarize yourself with the updated domains, tasks, and enablers to understand the scope of the new exam.
  • Integrating Additional Resources: Use other study materials that reflect the latest changes to complement your preparation.
  • Staying Informed: Keep an eye on our announcements for updates on the simulator's progress.

We are committed to supporting you through these changes and are here to assist you in any way we can. Please feel free to reach out with any further questions or concerns.

We have received the following (albeit short) feedback from one of our students. He used our old exam simulator and then scheduled his exam AFTER the change without realizing that he was going to take the new exam. He passed. I asked him for feedback and he said the following:

"prepcast was my only study tool and it was close enough"

Based on this (single) feedback, we are now more certain that our current simulator (for the old exam) is still valuable for the new exam. But obviously, we are still reviewing and updating all our questions, so that the simulator matches the new exam better. For now, however, we only have the old version available, which is "close enough".

So is the PMI-ACP exam simulator updated to the new exam outline at this time? I’m not sure when I read the page regarding its current status.

@Alex

At this time, our simulator is not updated. We are working on it, but we do not have a clear understanding yet how long it will take.

But... as the experience from the other student shows: The current (not updated) simulator is "close enough" to pass.
