Answer and Explanation

The correct answer is A

The scenario implies you are carrying out the Develop Team process. Develop Team is the process of tracking team member performance, providing feedback, resolving issues, and managing team changes. Organizational process assets (OPAs) are an input to this process. Examples of the OPAs associated with the Develop Team process include certificates of appreciation, corporate apparel, and other organizational perquisites. Recognizing the contributions of the high-performing team members is part of the Develop Team process. The project manager can use the relevant OPAs to guide her through this process and provide the team members with the appropriate rewards and recognition.

Details for each option:

A. Organizational process assets
Correct. Policies for certificates of appreciations, and other organizational perks (perquisites) are considered organizational process assets (OPAs) which are an input to the Develop Team process implied by the scenario. You can use them as guidance to provide rewards and recognition for the high-performing team members.

B. Stakeholder register
Incorrect. The stakeholder register is a project document that lists project stakeholders along with their identification, assessment, and classification. While the project team members are project stakeholders, the information in the stakeholder register is not sufficient to guide you through the Develop Team process described in the scenario, nor the stakeholder register is among the inputs to this process.

C. Project team assignments
Incorrect. Although the project team assignments is an input to the Develop Team process implied by the question, this project document includes only the team members roles and responsibilities and is, therefore, unlikely to guide you through the process of recognizing the team members for their contributions so far in the project.

D. Quality metrics
Incorrect. A quality metric is a description of a project or product attribute and how to measure it. Quality metrics are not an input to the Develop Team process suggested by the question, nor they can help you in your desire to recognize the team members for their contributions to the project.
