PM Prepcast feedback

CHRISTIAN KOCH

I purchased the PM PrepCast from Cornelius to prepare my PMP exam.

I have been more than positively surprised by the very high quality of the Podcast both on the content and on the form. Biggest bang for the buck so far ( I am 51 :-) ) to prepare and successfully pass an exam.

I can only warmly recommend this PM PrepCast.

I continue and download the free podcast from Cornelius which contribute to enhance my project field knowledge.

This website is really a Goldmine for Project professionals !

PM PrepCast

Ann Marie Childs

The PM PrepCast was the component that made the difference in passing my PMP exam.

The study material is presented in manageable amounts easy to fit into someone's schedule.  I frequently listened to the Podcasts while driving.  The PMP exam simulators were key in helping me judge when I was ready to sit for the exam and what course content I needed to review.

I passed my PMP exam on my first attempt on Monday, November 7th.

I have recommended this program to my colleagues who are preparing for the PMP exam.

Thank you,

A "must watch" show to prepare for your PMP Test !!!

Marcel Nadal Michelman

I had the opportunity to prepare and achieve success in my first PMP test by using two different books, attending an excellent preparation class, and by using the PM PrepCast alongside with the PMP simulator by Cornelius Fichtner. I used the PM PrepCast as an essential tool for reviewing and solidifying the knowledge I gathered from my studies. I took the time to watch ALL videos - almost everyday - and jot down several notes to create my own review sheet. One of the best things I can point out by the "PM PrepCast" from Cornelius Fichtner is the organization of themes and topics. I would call the work Mr. Fichtner has prepared for the "Prepcast" a real masterpiece. Extremely organized and detailed content covering all the processes, with its definitions, inputs, tools, techniques, and outputs, not to mention superb insights regarding Earned Value Management formulas and the different theories for the Human Resources knowledge area. The PM PrepCast is a must watch material for preparing and reviewing your studies, and I thoroughly recommend it for anyone interested in taking the PMP certification test.

A end of short journey

Marcelo F Marques

I called my experience as a journey for two reasons mainly, first, the experience of day-by-day listen an episode became part of my day as the breakfeast, second, after some time of journey, Cornelius prove yourself a good mate in the journey, I already miss his advices.
So, as a reasonable testimonial should be, here the goods and bads in my opnion:
The goods
- Really focused content and coherent explanations
- Plain and easy to understand english speech (important to foreigner guys like me)
- The organization of the topics and lessons make easy to understand the natural flow of agile pratices
The Bads
- Some lessons take so long and became hard to keep up to the subject
- The visual content could be improved and do more than just be a milestone of the speech

Very valuable PMP exam learning tool

Alison Smith

I passed my PMP exam 14th November 2016

I purchased the PM PrepCast. I was very impressed by the content and presenting style of Cornelius. I am someone whose mind wonders, and you kept me engaged. I also liked that you did not just take the content from the PMBOK, but added your own examples to aid in the learning process.
After listening to several, I found myself speaking your words along side you, on the slides that listed the processes and process groups within a Knowledge area. Repetition and a subtle way to teach your students :O)

I also purchased your exam simulator – I truly believe that is what helped me the most when I sat my exam. I completed all 9x 4hr exams. My biggest tip is that preparation for the exam should include sitting simulated 4 hour exams and reviewing the answers. It really helped to prepare me on the focus required and I learnt such a lot, from reviewing the answers, not just incorrect ones but all the answers.

I passed my PMP exam!!

Kerry Soltysinski, PMP

Hi Dan,
This is Kerry Soltysinski.I wanted to let you know that I passed my PMP exam!! I'm still a bit overwhelmed, but I'm sure it will set in soon!! I sat there, my heart beating a mile a minute...then, to see the "Congratulations..." was such a relief (as compared to the "Unfortunately...").
As you know, this was not my first attempt, but rather my third (and last shot for this application). After my second attempt, I had to step back and assess what can I could do different for the next time because what I was doing wasn't working (obviously).
Right after I got home after my second failed attempt, I got online and first wanted to know how many people fail it twice (had to see how I compared - that's just me though). Then, I started reading about how important it was to take practice exams. That was one key thing that I did not focus on and one thing that I could do different to improve.I did comparisons of many simulators. When I came across the PM Simulator by Cornelius Fichtner, I jumped right on it and got the simulator the very same day.
It took some time before I activated it.  What was great was the free 30 minute coaching session (another thing I could do differently). That is where I was introduced to you. From there, I joined the 6 week online training course. This really helped me to look at questions and apply logic differently.
Your guidance and help, and applying that to the practice exams in the simulator is exactly what I needed to do differently to finally "get it."
Perseverance and hard work is key, but I couldn't of done it without your help, so thank you!!

When you have a busy life

Kristi Miller PMP

I studied for the PMP exam on my own, rather than attend a bootcamp.  As a busy professional working full time with three young children and a husband, I needed to squeeze in study time whenever I could.  My method was to read a PMP study guide and take notes first.  Then, I purchased the PM PrepCast and downloaded each poscast on my mobile device.  Each day on my commute to and from work, I played one podcast.  I had already read the material in the study guide, so the podcast was actually sinking in and making sense.  I was able to think about examples I had read previously and the notes I had taken while listening to the the podcast.  I found that at the end of each podcast i was getting most, if not all, of the questions correct.  By the time I got home from work each evening, I had already listened to an entire podcast and taken the exam.  I had more time to spend with my family since I was doing my studying in the car.  I would recommed the PM PrepCast to anyone who wants to reinforce the material found in study books and has little time to devote to studying after work.

I took this course as a last resource to finally prepare for the actual exam and I spent about two weekends doing various simulations. I must say the PM PrepCast was well organised, and very useful. I passed the exam in the first go. I highly recommend the PM PrepCast for anyone with years of experience, with exam anxiety and especially if you are struggling with grasping the concepts just by reading the PMBOK texts. I suggest using this over the last 1-3 months before sitting for your exam, increasing duration and question complexities as you get closer to the exam date.

I cleared my PMP exam in first attempt and PM Simulator helped a lot. The practice exam format prepares you well for the exam and is very close to the orignal exam. I liked the timed/learning exam mode and the fact that it's compatible with your mobile, which makes it easier to access anywhere. I will strongly recommend this simulator for the people aspiring for PMP.

Thanks a lot!!

The PrepCast content is superb

Yousuf S

The PM PrepCast is a sure fire way to grasp the specific concepts, terminologies and ubiquitious ITTOs of the PMI standard. The audio pace of the podcasts, the speaking style, and the examples all contribute to a smooth and easy learning experience. You do need the patience and commitment to go through all the content - but it is certainly worth the effort. Another piece of advice is to jot down notes for future reference when listening to the podcasts.

As an aside, the quips at the end of each podcast, with references to popular TV and music, brought back some pleasant memories.

I found The PM PrepCast Podcast Video sessions very helpful along with PMP Exam Prep Essentials Study Guide and Simulation Exams. The video session was easy to download to my iPod which allow me to review anywhere at any time. I would first listen and watch the Podcast and then refer to the chapter in the PMBOK and workbook to understand in detail. It was also important to do the exercises at the end of each chapter, and then test what I learned. The PM PrepCast offered several video sessions that build on a strong project management foundation. Signing up with the course allowed me a couple of free one on one coaching sessions, which gave me guidance and direction on the best way to study and answered any questions I had. The Podcast was not only useful during my study session I was able to listen while driving, cleaning, traveling, resting, whenever opportunity revealed itself. Another important detail...PM PrepCast was affordable. PM PrepCast really stands out as a high-quality exam preparation course and it helped me to be successful with passing the PMP exam, which allowed me to keep my job.

Good value for money

Zsolt Viczian

I have purchased the PM PrepCast, the Formula Study guide and access to the Online Simulator from OSP International LLC. The PM PrepCast was an excellent resource taking me through the whole PMBOK guide & more. Reading each chapter in the PMBOK guide after listening to the PM PrepCast made it so much easier compared to trying to read those chapters without someone talking me through the content beforehand. The PM PrepCast covers all important topics. At times the PrepCast is a bit too much repetitive and prolisso, lucky I had a player that offers the function to adjust (increase) playback speed.
In hindsight I waited a bit too long before attempting the PM PrepCast exam to earn the 35 PDUs required to initiate PMP certification. The PM PrepCast exam is really not very difficult. Since my application got audited by PMI causing some delay, in the end I missed my original target date for completing certification by a few weeks. This I could have avoided had I taken the PrepCast exam off my critical path by attempting it early on.
The simulator was just like the exam. I highly recommend adding it to your purchase. Doing test exams helped me identify knowledge areas that needed further attention.
The formula study guide was also helpful, though of the 3 products I purchased that was of least value to me. Overall formulas and calculations in the PMBOK and the exam are pretty easy and somewhat overrated. There is really no need for a separate formula guide. Table 7-1 in the PMBOK covers a large portion of the formulas, building on that you can quickly create your own comprehensive formula sheet.
Besides the PM PrepCast I read two books as well, both excellent: Rita Mulchay, PMP Exam Prep 8th edition and Jennifer Greene & Andrew Stellman, Head first PMP 3rd edition.

Highly recomended

Elvis Zambrano

I have been a project manager for approximate 5 years but it was not until May 2016 that i decided to get serious about getting my PMP certification. I discussed with other colleagues in my company about the learning methods they took to pass their exam and I did some online research on my own. I started to hear the PM PrepCast on project management topics and that was where i heard about one of their other products, the PM PrepCast. After a comparison of options i chose the method that better fit my learning style. I got the PMI membership so I got the PMBOK, I purchased the Rita Mulcahy's book and flashcard and they were helpful but by far what accelerated my learning was the PM PrepCast.
Why do I recommend this product?
1- Flexibility: I downloaded the videos/audio to my phone and that gave me the flexibility to take my study resources anywhere with me, I could listen in the car while driving to and from work, at the gym while exercising, or even when going shopping with my wife (hey, at least I was present even if not necessarily listening :) ).
2- Methodology: Cornelius take every aspect in the PMBOK guide and other topics not included there and break them down in to simple portions easy to understand, in an everyday language and with plenty of examples. Every chapter also comes with sample questions where you get the chance to check how much did you learn and gaps that need to be covered
3-  Relevance- The PM PrepCast are continually being updated to the latest changes in the PMBOK guide, but also the prep-cast includes interviews with experts in different areas of project management for a more detailed discussion.
In addition to the Prepcast I also purchased in a combo pricing the PM PrepCast/PM Simulator which I also recommend. Learning the material for the exam is half the battle, the other important aspect is being prepared for the exam conditions. 200 questions in 4 hours in a new environment and conditions could add unnecessary stress to the process. By practicing sample questions in similar conditions as in the exam you could increase your confidence level for the test day.
Today I am proud to say that not only I passed the test but the leanings are still part of my day to day activities and not just information for the exam day only.
Thanks Cornelius (and Justine)

I would like to thank Cornelius and PM PrepCast team for this great exam preparation tool.
I passed my PMP exam in the first attempt on August 30, 2016, being a mom of 20-months old daughter and working full-time.
During my preparation I tried a lot of mock tests and I can say that PM PrepCast is the best one.
If you are hesitating to purchase it or not, be sure it is worth the investment.
The questions are very close to the real exam, they are very well structured and formulated.
Statistics are also very helpful - you can easily track your progress and improve your knowledge in the
areas where you have gaps. For example I can see now that I have spent a total of 45 hours and 15 minutes 162030 seconds answering questions in the simulator. I also see that 65% of questions were correctly answered in my first attempt.
It really helps estimate your weak points and your strong points. It took me 2.5 months to prepare for PMP. I was studying 2-3 hours per day during the week and 7-8 hours per day during the week-ends.
I think that the most helpful sources are PMBOK, Edward's Chung site and PM PrepCast. I also ordered PMP Exam Formula Study Guide with 105 calculation questions which I also found very useful.
I highly recommend PM PrepCast to all PMP aspirants!
Thanks for your great job, Cornelius!

Blood, Sweat and Fears

Volkwart Schmid

Hi Cornelius, preparing for the PMP-exam reading the PMBoK Guide was a boring and tedious endeavor for me, but, of course, a definite must. As we know, it offers only a single learning channel with a little bit of visualisation added, by using the flow charts. From a learning theory and practice point of view, that is by far not enough. Besides, it cannot be expected of a Standard to consider learning approaches. So additional channels, e.g. on levels such as audio-visualisation, activity-enforcing, applying new knowledge to find solutions, discussing and explaining need to be added to develop an efficient study path and create a plan. Working alone and trying out the one or other free exam-simulator first, I thought I would never pass the exam. So, with blood-pressure rising and cold sweat running down my back I started using your PM PrepCast in unison with the self-assessments at the end of each chapter and the PM-BoK Guide along with a bit of Head First: PMP and then testing progress by using your PM Exam Simulator, reviewing the failed questions, looking up the answers, brought the result I was aiming for: the PMP-certification framed on my living room wall. Thank goodness, I found your PM PrepCast, after searching the web for learning support for quite a while. For me they are thoughtfully composed. There is no jump-start dashing-in, dashing-out kind of approach. Didactically well structured and easy to understand they are. Besides that, thanks to the modulation of your voice, and the short sentences used, easy to follow. Well explained. Thus my my rating is: highly professional! Thank you so much for the effort and engagement you put into those prepcasts etc. to support me and so many others to pass the exam and thank Justine for her short but always entertaining salutations and au-revoirs appearances at the begining and end of each prepcast. Weiterhin viel Erfolg und Inspiration mit einem herzlichen Gruß aus Frankfurt am Main Volkwart Schmid

PM simulator is a must!!

Shelly Au

I passed the exam on August 29th and I must say, the exam was much harder than I anticipated. I started watching the PM PrepCast videos in February, about 2 hours per night (including time used to stop the video to take notes) and usually a full day on weekends, so it took me about 5 weeks to complete the videos/final exam. Being able to watch and listen to these videos on my commute to work in addition to watching them at home was very useful. I took notes for all the videos and was able to review the notes prior to my exam in addition to other textbooks/study material. The PM simulator is a must!! Even though I thought the questions on the actual PMP exam were much much harder than the 7 practice PM simulation exams I completed, the PM simulator really trained me to sit through a 4 hour exam. What I learned was how to pace myself, to read every single answer to a question, and to stay focus. Thank you to Cornelius and the team!!

Testimonial/ Review

Kevin Cooper

Once I had realized that I was eligible to sit the PMP exam, I was extremely ecstatic. As the feeling of joy dwindled, then I was hit with the dilemma of choosing a reliable training package. As a result of a relentless search, I found the PM PrepCast which offered the opportunity to access a free trial before purchased. This part of the service captured my attention immediately. On perusal of the package and through practicing the trial test questions, I was able to see the areas that I was proficient, moderately and below proficient in, which were similar to the actual exams. I decided to purchase this product as I realized this would be pertinent in my preparation for the exam. In my opinion, the PM PrepCast was the training provider which I not only could depend on but was also beneficial for teaching me actual industry best practices that will ensure Project Management success. I can say with absolute confidence that purchasing the PM PrepCast was the best decision I had made. I can confidently recommend the purchase of this product to all.

The PM Simulator is indeed a very high quality Product. The practice questions are very close to the difficulty level of those that you will see on the actual exam, and maybe even a slight more difficult at times. Take as many of the tests as you can while marking those that you needed to take a guess on for review afterwards, and MAKE SURE that you take the time to review the questions you've missed to understand why. The test statistics they provide based on your scores translate pretty close to how you would fare on the actual exam. If you're making atleast 75% on the practice exams, then sir/mam I would say you're headed in the right direction. If you're averaging more than 80%, go ahead and sit for the exam. But overall, this a great product and I reccomend it to all that plan on sitting for the exam. Good Luck!

Passed PMP Exam from First Trial!!

Waleed Salem

Passed the PMP exam on August 18th. Was a big challenge since I had preparation for only 16 days.
Below are some lessons learned and recommendations:
- I started my learning with slides from a prep course I attended 6 months ago
- In parallel, was looking in the PMBOK for more explanation
- Was writing my own notes on each chapter...the ones I need remember, e.g., motivation theories, sources of authority, conflict management methods, project team development, communication methods, risk strategies (+ve/-ve risks), types of contracts, stakeholders engagement (influence, power, impact,...etc quality theories (demming, juran, etc.), PMB, delphi, mind mapping, affinity diagrams, nominal group technique, pareto chart, contract clauses, etc.
- Highlighted one data flow diagram for each chapter. The one that involves all processes of the chapter (Fig. 4-11, 4-13, 5-10, 6-17, 7-3, etc.). I added a box for any missing process from that chapter to that diagram. I analyzed them very well and kept reviewing them every day.
- I drew my own integrated diagram with focus on integrated change control and QC in the heart of this diagram. I added the processes feeding into them and going out of them with the major input/output. I kept this on a white board for 10 days and kept looking at it.
- Started with PM Simulator on the 6th day of my study...did 4 full exams with scores: 76.5, 78.5, 81 and 73 (only 1 above 80 with the fourth one as the toughest!). I also did 7 quizzes with 3x70, 3x90 and 1x80
- 5 days before the exam, I went through my notes and the pages I highlighted from PMBOK again.
- I skimmed through Rita’s book only the last 3 days before the exam. I did the questions at end of each chapter. Scored 70-75 in these end-of-chapter tests. I Didn't have the time to go through 4 chapters: stakeholder, communication, HR and procurement - I kept Rita's process of making changes on page 139-141 (Tricks of the Trade) in mind and kept using it while answering questions about change (by the way: these are many during the exam!).
- During the last 3 days, I did simulator quizzes (not full exams) and selected only questions I answered incorrect. I was scoring 70-90 in these quizzes which was a good sign for me that I'm avoiding my mistakes. - The day before the exam I went through my notes, some flashcards from an app that I downloaded (called PMP Prep Exam... attention: some info are from PMBOK 4th edition), the glossary of PMBOK and the EV formulas.
Recommendations:
- Don’t exhaust yourself by ITTOs. Understand major ones: risk register, communication plan, project charter, business case, WBS, ishikawa, pareto, CPM...these were the major ones in the exam.
- Start with slides from your prep course (if any). Don't spend much time here...just warm up and refresh memory.
- Go through any notes you wrote during prep course
- Go through full Rita if you can... highly recommended. It develops good common sense. If you can't, go through her Tricks of Trade and the tests at end of each chapter. For incorrect answers, go back to their section in the book and read more to realize why you did that mistake. Always mark the incorrect questions to revisit them during the few days review before exam.
- Do many quizzes from here and there. Mark incorrect questions for review and to gauge your progress in the next trial. Do full simulator exam at least twice!
- Don't waste time in reading PMBOK. Go their only if you need more explanation, definitions or formulas. Utilize the approach of highlighting one data flow diagram per chapter as mentioned above.
- In my opinion, the exam questions are less confusing than simulator exam. Feel good if you are scoring more than 70 in the simulator and Rita. Feel excellent if you score 80+.
- If you can afford intensive daily learning for a short period, would be better than relaxed learning for long time.
- Pareto, ishikawa, float, EV calculations, risks (particular: unusual changes due to weather or other conditions), kick off meeting, changes, charter, lessons learned were frequent in the exam. Grasp them!
- Many questions were "how would the PM have prevented this situation?"
- Timing can be tight in the exam. Don't go for break except bathroom...and only if urgent!
- Ask for ear plugs if you feel annoyed by those who are doing typing exams near you...happened to me.
Hope this helps...if you have questions, eMail me: [email protected].
Many thanks for PM PrepCast team for the great effort and prompt response on my questions.

PMP Exam Preparation

Brian Lundell

I prepared for about 9 months before taking the PMP.  I purchased the PM PrepCast and went through it first, then submitted my application to take the exam.  I reviewed the PM PrepCast more over the coming months and also studied Rita Mulcahy's book PMP Exam Prep.  Both these methods helped the other, so I suggest that others wanting to obtain the PMP credential use at least two different approaches to mastering the material.

I read through the PMP Exam Prep book twice, understanding the material much better the second time through.  I practiced writing down all the suggested formulas until I was confident I could produce them at test time without any aids.  I purchased the flash card set that went with the PMP Exam Prep book and studied them as well.  Another thing that helped during the test was that I memorized the order of all the Planning activities so I could write them down if needed during the test.  That helped answer some of the "What is the next best thing for the PM to do?" questions.

The test was difficult but spending the time studying both of these resources made it much, much easier.

Th PM PrepCast Saved Me

Jessie Mallory

I highly recommend the PM PrepCast! I was one of those people who only needed the education credits in order to get my PMP; I had everything else locked up. All the options available online were super expensive and were going to take a really long time for me to complete. I was so excited when I found the PM PrepCast - here was a way for me to get the education credits I needed on my schedule. It didn't hurt that it was less than $200. A huge help when you're paying for this yourself. I listened to the PM PrepCast on the way to work, while cleaning my house, and taking the dog on walks. It fit perfectly into my already busy life.

One note, I'd already read the PMBOK, so I was familiar with the concepts. If you haven't yet read the PMBOK, I recommend spending the time to really watch the videos, and not use them as a recap like I did.

Best of luck to you!

Simply the best to prepare for PMP exam Certification

Dhiraj Hathwar

I passed my PMP exam on June 15th this year. I couldnt have done it without the help of PM PrepCast is actually an understatement considering what a big help it was during my preparation. Thanks Cornelius and PM PrepCast team. First up I started preparing seriously for my exam exactly 7 weeks before the exam. I had postponed the exam for various reasons and till 7 weeks before really hadnt done much of reading at all. I had just completed till chapter 3 in PMBOK, had bought Headfirst PMP book but had not even read a single page till that point. That is when I came across PM Prepcast during my desperate search for a medium to accelerate my learning and understanding of the concepts through PMBOK's perspective to be ready for the test just in time. I immediately signed up for PM PrepCast right away as it offered the lessons in recorded videos that can be downloaded to any of your device and listened through Web/podcasts. This meant I could be learning all the time any time when I am waiting for my train, during travel, lunch etc. The content is beautifully structured and Cornelius ( the man behind the videos) takes you nicely through different concepts in PMBOK. The videos are short 20- 30 min so you can maintain good concentration levels throughout the time the video is playing. The concepts are thoroughly gone through in each video with the important concepts being reiterated, given more weight. There are also some special videos on important topics live EVM, Critical Chain etc that are explained by industry experts which is fantastic and helps you really understand the topic. The PM PrepCast also has a formulae guide that summarizes all the important formulae you need to know for the exam. This is like a cheat sheet that you can use when you are giving your exam to put down all the concepts and formulae you know on a piece of paper to help you during the exam. The best part of PM PrepCast is learning by listening which is very fast compared to reading when you really don’t have much time to understand and digest the topics. The videos will talk about each concept in detail give examples and summarize what’s important for you as an exam taker as well. Another really big feature of PM PrepCast is their question databank. There are quizzes you can take after learning each concept and at the end of learning all the concepts you can start taking tests. They have 9 tests ( one on inputs, tools & techniques and outputs alone). That is over 1800 questions which is massive! If you can consistently score very well on these exams at the end of your preparation you can very confident that you will clear the exam easily. I was very confident when I was consistently scoring very well in my practice tests and I was not disappointed when I saw the result in PMP exam. Apart from this there are several small things that don’t seem very important initially but you leanr the value only later on the exam day. Cornelius takes you through what is the exam format, what you should do before the day and on the day of exam etc. This in a way prepares you for everything that is thrown at you on the D day. Simply put I think this is the best way to prepare for the exam certification. Kudos to the team behind PM PrepCast! Thanks again!

Good review

Naser Jaidee

The PM PrepCast is the best way to prepare for PMP. Cornelius Fischner did a great job by preparing the videos. His explanation is very clear and his pronounciation is very clear.
I was able to download the videos and watch on my commute which saved me a lot of time and was very convenient.
Also the assessment questions and chapter end questions are very helpful . I gave my Exam on 14 July and passed.

Husband and I Passed First Time With PrepCast

Jennifer Sharp

Both my husband and I are project manager and found the PM PrepCast to be the most useful learning tool. We purchased the tool separately as he took his test years before I did, but we agreed of all the different classes and books we bought, the PM PrepCast was the resource that provided the most real world examples and best level of detail. I have since recommended it to several of my friends and co-workers as they are preparing to take the PMP.

The PrepCast did what it had to

ALAIN GRANDEMANGE

After 20 years of managing projects, i found myself between contracts and some free time so i signed up to take the PMP certification. After doing that i did some research on the best way to prepare for the exam and The PM PrepCast seemed to be a concisely recommended method of ramping up for the test. I had 2 months to cram for the test. I watched the podcasts and took detailed notes and it was slow but i made progress. Every time i finished a Precast chapter, i read the PMBOK chapter and took the quick end of chapter quiz. Two week before the exam i started doing the full 200 question simulated exams, and i would then go back and figure out what i got wrong and why. IT was a tedious 2 weeks but it worked. I passed the exam and after 20 years I got certified. I honestly don't think i could have done it without The PM PrepCast and the PM Exam Simulator.

Excellent product at an amazing price

Jon Jorgenson

The PM PrepCast (with PM ExamPrep) is the only product that I used with my PMP preparation besides PMBOK.  The PM PrepCast made it very easy to learn the content required for the PMP exam and make me a better overall project manager.  I supplemented my PMP studies with PMBOK, but as many have stated, PMBOK is a tough read.  I started my PMP studies in early March 2016 and successfully passed my PMP exam on my first try on Friday, June 24, 2016.  I HIGHLY recommend buying the PM Simulator software along with the PM PrepCast.  There is no substitute for the quality of questions, simulating the actual 4 hour exam several times, and also learning which questions were wrong and areas for improvement.  Thanks for making such a wonderful product with amazing prices!

Cleared PMP exam in first attempt

Abhishek

I came to know about PM Prepcast via online research. It has got lots of positive feedbacks and decided to give Cornelius a chance :) . No doubt the product has so many good reviews on Net. I am proud that I have selected prepcast over others. I must say please do take the bundle with the online exam. You get 9 exams (200 questions each) +1 Full ITTO exam (200 questions) + customized quizzes. This is very close to the real world PMP exam. Thanks Cornelius, cleared my PMP with 3 Ps and 2 MPs.

PM PREPCAST

ABHISHEK RAMASWAMY

The PM PrepCast was very useful study material for my preparation. I also bought the PMP Exam Simulator which has 9 exams (200 questions each) and also one exam purely on ITTO type questions. It is very important to keep giving Mock exams as the questions formed in PMP exam have a very tricky pattern and its very important to get used to them well in advance. PM PrepCast helped me in this and the study material was well presented. Cornelius fichtner's voice was excellent in keeping my attention in to the presentations. I used the podcasts and used to read from my Iphone. I would recommend PM PrepCast for PMP aspirants . It is a one-stop solution. It gives the feel of real-time training so that you can avoid spending more on any classroom training. These PM PrepCast has that effect at much lesser price.

Videos are lackluster but great practice exams and support

Steve Johnson

My honest opinion is that the lectures were a waste of time.  The material is presented in a sterile way, with seemingly little focus on a practicle approach to the exam.  They needed much more in the way of tips for the exam, tricks for remembering certain terms or process sequences, and warnings & examples about how the exam might try to confuse the student.  As if the PMBOK isn't horribly boring enough, the Prepcast seems to translate that boredom into video form.

On the other hand, the practice exams were great.  There were many of them and every question had a detailed solution/explanation.  Those explanations were very effective in correcting misunderstandings and retaining information.  The quizzes were great too.  Both exam & quiz results are tracked with really good metrics, so you can see how well you did in different process groups, etc.  Further, the support was well beyond expectations.  I found a potential error on a practice exam, clicked the help button on the exam itself, and received a detailed email response about the exam problem's meaning within a couple of hours.  The support person replied to some back-and-forth, where I was able to share additional information and learn even more.

The PMBOK is filled with arbitrary jargon and a general detachment from reality.  Further, many of its core processes and techniques are not described fully enough to be meaningful.  It turns into more of a jargon memorization game.  To study for the exam, you need to get your head into the PMBOK world.   Treating this material as gospel, as the lectures tend to do, undermines their credibility, in my view.  Not everything in the PMBOK is self evident or correct beyond doubt.  I would have appreciated a lecture series from a much more "I'm going to teach you how to pass the exam" attitude than a "I'm going to read the PMBOK to you" attitude.

The PM PrepCast is a very effective training tool for both those, who want prepare for the PMP exam and for us PMPs, who want to re-visit and re-train ourselves on the foundational body of knowledge that guides our project management practices.

The best thing about the PM PrepCast is that you can re-play the pod-casts as many times as you wish, take notes, and apply the material and learning to your respective project. It's not just a training tool, but an easily-referenced, electronic library of knowledge that provides volumes of additional context to augment the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).

I enjoyed the flexible nature of the pod-casts and being able to listen and watch at my own pace.  Its a perfect complement to a your training and reference library whatever your PM level.

Thank you for this valuable resource!

PM PrepCas Review

DELISLE

HI all,

Here is my review of the PM PrepCast.

I am living on a french pacific island. Two years ago, i decided to go through a certification process, and choosed PMP.

After some researchs, i found out that the only way for me to train was by distance. there was no course available in my country.

I compared online resources, and choosed PM PrepCast. That was the fist step to success.

I had many constraints:

- as a CEO, i needed flexibility

- as a french, i needed understandable english

- as isolated, i needed clarity

PM PrepCast offered me every thing i needed to be confident enough to take a plane, and to pass my exam on a beautifull sunday in Sydney.

Thank you Cornelius, and as you say :"Au revoir"

Gaining Knowledge and Comprehending all Concepts - PM PrepCast Delivers

Mitesh H Patel, PMP

I passed the PMP exam on my first attempt! I could not be more satisfied with the PM PrepCast, Exam Simulator, and Mr. Cornelius Fichtner guiding the candidate along the way. If your work schedule is demanding and you average nine to ten hour work days like myself, study time is indeed valuable. I listened to each module in the PM PrepCast during nights and weekends. Cornelius makes each lesson insightful, interesting, and entertaining. The lessons/videos not only help you comprehend the concepts but also are presented in a strategic sequential manner that align perfectly with the PMBOK 5th Edition. Once you utilize the Exam Simulator and practice either the full exams or your own personalized quizzes, you are bound for success!! I passed the PMP exam in a very "proficient" manner and I would like to thank the PM PrepCast team!

Invaluable, Engaging and Concise - that's PM PrepCast!

Shadrack Baraka

I am a receipient of the OSP International LLC Project Management Training Scholarship offered through the Project Management Institute Educational Foundation. My background is Information Management with over 5 years on the job experience in health research projects coordination. This exposure to health research projects has evoked an enduring interest in pursuit of industry standard skills and best practices because invarably, research projects operations require project management skills . To address this need and to generally develop my project management skills, i set about looking for opportunities, and thankfully PMIEF & OSP International LLC gave me the most rare of opportunities - Studying the PM PrepCast !

The PM PrepCast is one of the most well thought out online courses I have ever interacted with. The conceptual build up of the skills and knowledge areas in successive podcast offerings just cue you to go on and on. The training helped me to demystify PMP exam preparations and boost confidence levels. Going through the course makes you feel sufficiently prepared to take the exam, thanks in no small part to the lead trainer's infectious grasp of the subject matter, the PM PrepCast team and several engaging interviews by project management exponents. I consider the PM prepCast experience invaluable, engaging and the content concise.

I would recommend PM PrepCast to any aspiring Project Manager!

Project Manager

Rob Scott

The PMP Prepcast is an amazing tool for all types of aspiring Project Managers. I use the word "aspiring" deliberately, because I was already a project manager for 10 years before I found this PMP credential to be not only appealing, but necessary to perform in accordance with current industry project standards. After takign this course, I realize that there might have been better, more successful approaches I could have taken on prior projects that may have turned out differently had I attained the PMP credential earlier in my career. Nevertheless, it's never too late to better yourself and broaden your knowledge with a career path you are passionate about. This particular course of study with Cornelius at the helm, and the way PMPrepcast designs the curriculum can benefit both new and older project managers. There are other study guides and websites that can also be of help, but in my opinion, this site had the best resources available to students to learn at the pace, manner and framework that they choose. I would recommend thoroughly reading the PMBOK guide, but not relying on it solely without a study aide like PMPrepcast. The PMP exam is a challenge, and its supposed to be, but Cornelius WILL focus on training you to develop your keen sense of project manager critical thinking and procedural skills so much so that implementing them on your projects will become second nature. Good luck!
