First of all I want to congratulate Cornelius and his team for making such a great product ,PM PrepCast.
I cleared my PMP on 6 Feb,2012.
I already had my 35 contact hours but I still decided to purchase PM PrepCast and my decision was a good one. This helped me to minimize my learning effort as well as efficiently utilize my commutation time to and from office. I had to travel for around 3 hrs back and forth from office and hence I decided to utilize this time effectively and PM PrepCast helped me in achieving my goal. Thanks to Cornelius and keep up the good work. I would sincerely recommend this product to anyone who want's to utilize their travel time effectively and get a good understanding of PMP concepts.

Hi,
I passed my PMP exam in Dec 16 in the firs try, I want to share my leason learned:
1. Read in deep 1 time the PMBOK
2. Watch the PM PrepCast many times until you understand all the concepts
3. Read second time the PMBOK to link the concetps learned in PM PrepCast
4. Read the book O'Reilly - Head First PMP is very helpful to understand the projects documents
5. Read the Rita Mulchay book, I read only the book I didn't do the exercises, but I recommend you do
6. Answer as many exam questions as you can, in the site PMzilla are many links to study documents and situacional questions

I was study about 2 months 4 hours by day, I didn't try to memorize the ITTO's only try to understand the process and what you need to complete the project documents.

The day before the exam I did one exam sim from pmfastrack of rita, nothing else. The day of the exam I didn't study.

The mayority of the questions are situational, the math questions like EV was very easy, but you need to know and apply very well the formulas

Since I'm working as construction PM at remote construction sites in China I had no chance to attend classes, therefore my PMP preparation only based on self study. The PM prepcast was the central point of it- first I watched the lesson, than I read related section in a preparation book and finally I used PMBOK for the same topic. I appreciate especially the pronounciation of Cornelius, it makes it very easy to follow him as not-native speaker. I like the clear structure of the prepcast and since I passed my exam 2012 I recommended the prepcast to many other people. Even if you have the chance to attend a preparation class, it's a great way to get familiar with the topic.

Hello Cornelius
Thank you creating such an incredible product pm-prepcast! With the help of it I could successfully clear my PMP on 21st Jan 2012.

Here is brief background on myself. I am solution architect in an enterprise software provider based out of NJ, USA and deal with customers from different business verticals. On one side I understand different business problems related to supply chain and pricing domain while on the other hand I manage offshore team. It's being a wonderful experience to live this global experience. I also possess APICS CSCP-2007 & PPS's CPP-2010 credentials.

So now for my PMP journey. I started thinking about it in July 2011. First thing I did was I purchased PMP prepcast and started listening to it. I am really glad that I did that. I listened to the episodes about 1.5 times. Secondly I read "The PMP Exam: How to Pass on Your First Try, Fourth Edition" by Andy Crowe and revised it once. Thirdly I attempted questions from BenchPrep PMP course couple of times. The benchprep questions were average category but it did give me the flexibility of solving those on iPad before going to bed. I read PMBOK once and got to revise it halfway once. That was all the preparation material I used for my PMP.

Now on the day of my PMP. I had listened your podcast related exam day preparation. This was best source for me to prepare on what to expect. Only one point I will like to iterate is; the exam room was a little cold for me and as I had already locked my sweater, I had sit through the exam without one. The exam was fairly straight forward and I did review a set of questions in doubt. This took me about three and half hours to complete. When I submitted my exam, I was asked to take an exam center survey which was annoying considering my anxiety to see the exam result.

I have few ideas on how the podcast can be made more interactive not only to prepare for the exam but also make it a living source for executing our jobs as project managers. I can discuss those with you if you like.
Once again thank you for wonderful podcast. On one hand it teaches the PMBOK concepts but more than that it familiarizes you with the overall PMI/PMP expectations.
I can be reached on shank.khare@gmail.com or +1.972.281.7968 for any discussions.

Good day

I passed the PMP Exam with flying colors and the 119 PMP PrepCast podcast series played an important part. I have known for some time that I am both a visual and auditory learner and the podcast series supports that style of learning. Since subscribing to the PMP preparation series, I have subscribed to the Flash Cards and the PDU podcast series. The subscription prices for all three series are more than reasonable and they fit my busy schedule.

I am happy to report that I passed the PMP exam on the first try.The PM Prepcast series was instrumental to my success.I learn well in instructor led sessions and by having the prepcast on my ipod, I had the luxury of bringing the lesson with me wherver I went. The ability to pause, rewind, forward or just listen to a topic over and over as I desired was awesome.

On the day of the exam at the same test center, there was someone else who sat for the exam but did not pass. The person had the courage to approach me after the test (he got my contact info from the test center) and requested I advise him on my strategy to pass the exam.Among other tools I used, the PM Prepcast was one of them. The person told me that after he has spoken to me, he felt that he was no adequately prepared for the exam, mainly due to his busy work schedule.I suggested he tries the pm prepcast because he could listen to it even when lying down, on a plane or any other place that was not suitable to bring a book to read.

In summary, the prepcast is a good product, worth the money and I can recommend it.

Cornelius, rnrnYou will glad to know that I have passed my PMP in my first attempt on 17th Jan. Such a wonderful feeling. Thanks for creating such a wonderful course - PM Prepcast and PMP Exam simulator. I have used both. I think Exam simulator is very close to what I had in my exam. In fact it prepared me so well that the simulator questions/exam looks more tough/challenging then actual exam. that helped me to prepare for the best. Your PM Prepcast was a great tool for me to prepare for the exam since I was travelling 4 Hrs to and fro, that didn't left enough time to study at home during weekdays. The Prepcast not only prepare you for PMP, it also helped me to apply these principal in my day to day job. My advice to future aspirant. Don't just prepare for PMP as an exam for the sake of adding a credential . Use this preparation to be a best project manager and apply this to your organization and success will automatically follow you. I have used Rita read twice, Rita exam simulator , PM Prepcast, PMP Exam simulator, PMBok (Once). Practiced around 3000+ questions. PMBok is best to learn about ITTO, the charts really helped me to understand how processes interact and integrate with each other. It took me around 3-4 months to prepare for the same. There is no good time or best time to start preparation for PMP. Don't procrastinate, just do it. One piece of advice, Relax a day before the exam and take a nice/proper sleep, Don't over study. Its a long 4 Hrs exam and you are not allowed to take anything inside the exam-no food, no water, no wallet, no calculator. Practice to take at least 4-5 complete 4 Hrs PMP Exam from the simulator before taking the exam, I give full credit to that to pass my exam. Thanks again Cornelius ,I will come back to you soon for the PDUs. I would also like to thank my wife Ritu and son Mehul who has given me their full cooperation in spite of not able to give them full attention and time during this journey and screwing all their vacation time. It would not have been possible without their support. Good luck for all future aspirants.

Cornelius,

I started listening to you using the PM PrepCast when first studying for my exam. I found it very informative and a great way to augment my traditional leaning methods when studying for the exam.

After I passed my exam (using many of your tips that you provided in the PM PrepCast) I started listing to the PM PodCast for ongoing education and to keep sharp on my skills. I have a 4 hour drive to a customer that provides a great opportunity for me to keep current. After listening to some of your latest PodCasts, I thought to myself, I wish I had the opportunity to write some of material this down for future reference. I then concluded that you could offer this as a paid service so people could easily reference back to that material. Walla - I find that you have PDF transcripts of the episodes for paid subscribers. Great minds must think alike.

Thanks for your passion to the industry.

The PM PREPCAST helped me to prepare and achieve the PMP certification in less than 4 months of my subscription. By simultaneously running on the treadmill and listening to the podcast PM PREPCAST, I got double benefits of losing my body weight and gaining my professional weight with the PMP certification.

Each episode presented by Cornelius Fichtner was about 20 minutes long and was very clear with simple and vivid explanations and examples.

During the first month, I was curious and excited with each episode and could not wait "until next time".

In the second month, I became familiar with the formula and examples by listening to the podcast episodes repetitively.

In the third month, I felt confident and booked for my PMP exam.

In the fourth month, I became an expert in answering the Transcender test questions. This led to success in the final PMP exam and make me earn my PMP certification! :)

Thank you Cornelius Fichtner!
Wonderful job of doing this podcast!!

Cornelius,
Thank you for developing the PMP PrepCast. It wholly exceeded my highest expectations. Not only is the material accurate, well-organized, and efficient for use as a study tool but it is made all the more useful through your charisma, thoughtful advice, and expert presentation skill - which kept my interest and attention throughout. Your choice of a podcast format made
for maximum portability, and by extension, maximum application of my time towards studying. As study material alone, it is a tremendous value - but when compared to coursework or workshops that offer similar contact hour credit, it becomes an exceptional value, worth hundreds, if not thousands more.

Thank you again for developing this amazing product for PMP
Preparation. I will enthusiastically recommend it to others.

Thomas Sebastian Wolfe, ( PMPR, MCSE+M, MCTS: Microsoft Project [SME], Server+, Network+, Project+ [SME] ) 01/08/2012 12:00am

I initially hated reading the PMBOK guide as it is very dry and sheer
theoretical study material. Then I bought PM Prepcasts' podcasts and soon those
became very essential study elements of my plan as they added real life
scenarios and put the PMBOK in perspective. Due to lack of time and as I started
enjoying podcasts more, I even skipped reading PMBOK guide for few chapters
(never try that at your home again) and just relied on podcasts. As some of the
real exam questions are direct translation or derivatives of PMBOK text, I
started reading PMBOK for the tougher chapters like procurement, risk mgt etc. I
think overall I would rate the podcasts very useful to get an initial
understanding and to clear the pre-req. This in addition to taking few (5 or 6)
full length mock exam would help you in accomplishing the desired PMP
credentials. Good Luck!!

I got mine accomplished on the first attempt on Dec 7th 2011

Thanks

You will be glad to know that I have passed my PMP exam. I wrote the paper based test on Nov 21, 2011 and received my results on Dec 07.I just want to tell you how valuable the PM PrepCast lessons were to me.I had very little time to study, but lots of driving time. I used to listened to PM PrepCast episodes while driving or whenever I had anytime. After I listening to the PM Podcast I was reading the same chapter in PMBOK guide.I studied PMBOK guide 2-3 times. I have done lots practice tests approx 1500 to 2000 from different sources. I will recommend PM PrepCast lessons to any PMP aspirants. You have put together a great product and the price is very reasonable.

Thank you Cornelius!

I read PMBOK 4th edition twice (The Bible)
I purchased PM-Precast and went through it once, it was a nice product and also got 35 contact hrs too :)
Apart from that I also read Rita Mulchay once, which was really helpful.
I completed free online simulator questions, as many as possible and scored above 70% in each one of them. I suggest that please take online question based on PMBOK 4th edition only. Do not waste time on old questions.
The questions from various books were really helpful

I am more than happy with the quality of your PrepCast. Great job explaining all this dry stuff in such an interesting way. I did not nod off too often, which is impressive ;)

Keep up the great work. I booked the PDU cast as well. You should do a PRINCE2 cast. There is nothing decent out there that I could find. I am listening to some really boring voice and this is so hard to concentrate on.

I passed my PMP easy as. My technique:

Reading a chapter of the PMBOK
Listening to the same topic from your PM PrepCast
After I was through a knowledge group I read the entire Group in Ritas' book
After I was through with all that I read Andy from cover to cover.
Only did 1 exam as prep

passed 2 x proficient and rest moderate

Hello Everyone, rnrnI am very happy and excited to announce that I passed the PMP exam on July 25, 2011. I would like to share my lessons learned. Hope it will be helpful to all the PMP aspirants.rnrnIt all started in April 2011. I bought Corenlius' Prepcast. This was highly recommended by my husband who had used this prepcast & passed his PMP in 2009. Initially I was reluctant however there was a money back guarantee if there is no working use of this prepcast. After hearing it for 5 episodes, then I knew that the money back guarantee is no longer required. It is an amazing product and the concepts such as Earned Value cant be explained better than how Corenlius does it. I listened to the podcast everyday. Confidently I even recommended to my PMP study mate, he bought it too. After listening to my study mate personally came over to my home & thanked my husband for the recommendation too. Well, he passed too on 10 May 2011 rnrnThese are the studying site which referred to Headfirst PMP Labs. Headfirst Labs is great site to start on questions. It gives heads up on the questions to expect and thinking analytical skills. Then for the next two - three weeks I dedicated my self to reading the PMBOK 4, not once but twice. The second time was the final read for fine details.rnrnI then bought RITA book. She is good, a brain stimulator. I did all the questions in her book. Each time I take a paper, I benchmark 80% as a passing criteria. It helped, accelerated my confidence that I was on the right track. The key to passing the exam is to practice, practice and practice new questions. Learned and understand the ITTO not memorize, then it all made sense the flow the knowledge areas, ITTO & five phases. In all I attempted about 2500 question from various sources, which has been made available by many users in the website including the trial by PM EXAM SIMULATOR by Cornelius.rnrnI was a regular visitor on the PMP online forums, especially PM PREPCAST etc. I tried to understand what users had gone through during the exam so as to have myself prepared.rnrnAfter preparing for 4 solid months, I was confident to sit the exams and my aim was to sit for once only. Day before examination I just went through PMBOK and RITA Notes. I also tried writing braindumps .rnrnExam Dayrn• Could not sleep, Got up early, feel nervous.rn• I reached 1 hr before the exam time and the Exam centre was yet to open.rn• Was given a locker and were asked to put everything into that including my watchrn• They gave 4 sheets of paper and 1 pencil and gave instructions and to press a bell in case need help or needed to take a break.rn• I wrote down all the braindumps during for the first 15 minute. This really important because I realized that at the 99th question, Law of Diminishing kicks in. So the braindumps were of a great help. rn• Exam started and the initial questions appeared easy in the beginning but the questions got tougher. Hence minimum time for a question is 1.12 min, if the straightforward questions can be attempted within 30 seconds, these extra time came very handy for the tougher ones.rn• I went through all the answers, spending more time to analysing what I had selected as my answer and why the other three were wrong. Usually the 1st time answering the questions has the tendency to be the correct answer.rn• I had about 2 minutes to finish and completed all the 200 questions review.rn• Once I finished the survey the screen went white again, then came on the screen CONGRATULATIONS in BLUE and I was very Happy, contented, speechless and certainly relieved to see it. rnrnThe staff handed over me the exam report printout, smiled & congratulated me. I collected my stuff and Called my husband to share the great news & it was finally my turn to thank him on recommending the Prepcast by Cornelius. :DrnrnMy extra Study Materialrnrn• HeadFirst Labsrn• Rita Book rn• PMBOK 4rn• PM Exam Simulatory, PMStudy and other questions from Internet, forumsrnrnToday I am a PMP & MBArnThank you for giving me the platform to sharernVanitha Wimalasiri, MBA, PMPrn:D

PM PrepCast is the most affordable, flexible and effective way to prepare for the PMP exam! If you are currently researching the best training program, look no further. I used the podcast and PMBOK and studied for 6 weeks and passed the exam the first time. I highly recommend PM PrepCast!

Daniel Garcia, PMP 09/30/2011 04:10pm

In June 2011 I purchased PM PrepCast after attending a PMP certification training (40 hours over 4 weeks) in March 2011 and being unable to read PMBOK from start to finish.

(In April, May and June I was extremely busy at work. I wanted to undertake the PMP certification exam before the of August 2011).

The PM PrepCast offers a promise and delivers on that promise. It does not make you sleep. It helps accelerate your preparation for the PMP certification exam. It is mobile so you can listen to it, watch it (if you are not driving your car) and practice it at your convenience. The content is quality, including plenty of exam tips.

On August 4th, 2011, I have successfully passed the PMP exam in my first attempt. Thanks to PM PrepCast, which is one of the inputs, tools and techniques behind my success. It is good value for money. I strongly recommend it.

Erkan Gulec 09/30/2011 05:00am

PM PrepCast is the smart way of earning PDU's and first step to attaining PMP. It is a registered by PMI and licensed to impart PMP online training, I made all the required research to make sure it is. I earned my PMP and PM PrepCast was not only instrumental but also provided world class audio and video classes in terms of Podcasts. In today's busy work environment, PM PrepCast provides high class podcast training that is time saving and efficient compared to laborious classroom training. Don't forget to get the PMP Formula StudyGuide from PM PrepCast-a one stop shop for all the required formulae and related questions' Thank you OSP international and thank you Cornelius.

Dear All,

I completed my PMP on 17th Sep, 2011. My test was initially scheduled for Aug 29th, in the old version of the exam. However unfortunately due to the hurricane Irene that swept the east cost (Newyork), My center was closed on Aug 29th. My exam was rescheduled on Sep 17th as Paper based test in the old format itself.

First of all I would like to sincerely offer my Thanks to Mr. Cornelius Fichtner for preparing a such a wonderful product PM PrepCast. I use this to earn my 35 contact hours required for PMP examination. Initially I started with reading PMBOK guide & another PMP preparation books. This was very time consuming & I was hardly able to complete half of the PMBOK guide in 4 to 5 months, among my busy office schedule & family commitments. Then I restored to PM PrepCast. Let me tell you I was able to complete all the knowledge areas videos of PM PrepCast in 2 weeks. I was feeling more confident & prepared then before. All the Knowledge areas in the PM PrepCast have been explained very nicely, precisely with appropriate examples, exam tips, learning goals, chapter reviews etc. I felt reading the PMBOK guide after doing the PM PrepCast is must faster & interesting. The same PMBOK guide which use to take me long to read, I was able to complete now must faster (Was completed half of the PMBOK guide in less than a month) with the PM PrepCast contents fresh in my mind.

Apart from the PM PrepCast, I also used the PMP Exam Formulas from Mr. Cornelius Fichtner. I will strongly recommend using this one of your preparation tools. It is an excellent compilation of 49 PMP exam formulas that you should know, along with 105 specific formula based questions, which gives you a confidence of tackling any formula based questions in the exam. It gives you the various possible ways & types of formula questions you can expect in the exam.

I wish you all best of luck to all PMP exam aspirants. I would like once again Thank Mr. Cornelius Fichtner for his wonderful PMP exam preparation products that really gave me the confidence to go for the exam & pass in in first attempt.

Thanks & Regards,

Hello to all of you who are currently preparing for the exam and of course to those who have passed it.

After having a couple of weeks which were filled with a lot of learning I passed the exam on the 30th of August – yes the last day before the PMI changed its exam contents ;-) So I’m most happy to belong to the PMP-community now!

However for me that doesn’t mean that it’s the end of learning. No, from my perspective with passing the PMP exam the journey is just going to begin – but that’s another story. For now I want to share a bit of my learning experience here and of course want to say a big

T H A N K Y O U V E R Y M U C H!!!

to Cornelius and his team. From my point of view the Prepcast material is brilliant to approach the exam. With this gratitude I do not only refer to the basic material and the presentation slides but also to the way how it is presented by Cornelius. He explains it in a very understandable way, with many examples which are so helpful to get the full context. But even that’s not all what’s the essence of this fantastic preparation tool. Even more he provides a way of confidence in the presentation which accompanied me all the way through this learning time and gave me a positive mindset. It gave me some kind of important confidence that passing the exam is possible without being afraid that it would be too complicated. I think it is an important factor to stay positive and don’t get overwhelmed by all that PMBOK-stuff. As a kind of salt and pepper on top of this Prepcast menu, there are tons of hints like lists of potential sample questions at the end of nearly each episode and those very, very useful exam tips.

By saying this here are two examples which I found extremely helpful: At the end of the very long “risk management” – session I was like:

“Oh gosh, how will I be able to keep all of that stuff in mind…. So many tools & techniques, how would I be able to recollect all of this during the exam?”

More or less incidentally after finishing this part there was this most encouraging exam tip which said in short words: “Stay positive!!” Not only this sentence alone but this in combination with what Cornelius said in this tip was so helpful to get right on track again. The second example was, I think a few episodes later: At a distinct point of time I started to write down all of those ITTO’s (Inputs, Tool & Techniques and Outputs) with the intention to learn them by heart. Right the next day after starting this activity there was an exam tip at another episode which stated: “Don’t start learning all those ITTO’s by heart. Instead try to understand the concepts of the single processes. By doing this you will be able to recollect which one of those ITTO-answers would be the right one in the given context during the exam.” Well, today I can say thanks again for this tip, because this statement is totally true. And that’s what’s basically intended by the PMI, isn’t it? It’s more about getting the whole picture of project management according to the PMP rather than learning the PMP standard by heart without knowing how to use it.

In addition to my gratitude I'd like to share some of my learning experience. In the following I describe how I prepared for the exam:

First of all I bought some books the "PMBOK Guide 4th Ed.", of course, Rita Mulcahy’s "PMP Exam Prep" and the "Head First PMP 2nd Ed.". At the beginning I started reading the PMBOK and wrote down each statement into a separate learning book which I found important or useful. Then I started with the Prepcast. By doing this I was not sure if I should read the book first and watch the Prepcast or vice versa? Should I read a whole chapter first and then listen to the Prepcast or do it in smaller pieces? Should I watch the Prepcast first and read afterwards or the other way around? After a short while I simply skipped this “writing down” of all important parts from the PMBOK Guide because it simply took too much time.

In addition to reading the material I decided to buy the Formula Guide and the PMP Exam Simulator which both can be found on the Prepcast sister web sites. However after some time of trying out this and that I concentrated on the "PMBOK-Guide" and the "Head First" books only. I didn’t read the "PMP exam prep" and the "German PMBOK translation". I found it most helpful to go through the material as follows:

Part 1:
-------

1. I listened to the Prepcast max. 3 episodes a day. This was a kind of initial learning: Sometimes I sat down and really watched the episodes on my mobile device just where ever I was. Sometimes I just listened to it.

2. Then I went through that part of the PMBOK which covered what I learned from the Prepcast episodes right before.

3. After going through a whole PMBOK-chapter I took the Head First Book and went through the same chapter, took the exercises and went through the respective sample questions.

Part 2:
-------
In the second round I went through all of that stuff again even but more intensively:

1. I sat down and watched the Prepcast. By doing that I had the PMBOK right in front of me and wrote down all of those important Prepcast explanations and information right into the PMBOK at the corresponding sections.

2. After doing this for one chapter I read that chapter and looked up the annotations and additional explanations which gave me a better understanding of the knowledge areas and the purpose of the In- and Outputs and the Tools & Techniques.

3. After each chapter I put down the ITTO’s in a self-created table in order to have them as a quick look up and reference.

4. In parallel I started to take some freely available sample questions which I found in the internet. Additionally I had a small app on my smart phone which also provided me with some questions.

5. After being half way through the PMBOK again I bought the PMP Exam Simulator and started with my first full 200 question / 4 hour sessions. Of course not every day but 2-3 times a week.

In parallel to all of the above I started putting down the table on page 43 of the PMBOK Guide 4th Ed. on a blank piece of paper almost every 2nd day until I knew that table by heart.

Additionally I also put down all of the important formulas onto one or two blank sheets every now and then. With these exercises I practiced my ability to write this stuff down during the first 15mins of the exam. This was really great and was a perfect look up during the exam.

By doing all of that I found that there were still some more or less pale spots in my PMBOK-memorization. Beside each ITTO, which I decided not to learn by heart but rather to get a general, some of the references and the interrelations between a couple of processes were missing in my memory. So I decided to prepare a "simplified process overview chart" of these processes and draw the inputs and outputs from one to another to get my own understanding and a better overview of their relationships. I think to understand the interrelationship between the following processes is most critical:

"Direct and Manage Process Exec.", "Monitor and Control Project Work", "Perform Integrated Change Control",
"Control Scope", "Control Costs", "Control Schedule", "Perform Quality Assurance", "Perform Quality Control", "Report Performance" and "Verify Scope"

This together with the knowledge about the purpose of the single processes I received a very good understanding of the meaning of "work performance measurements", "work performance information", "Deliverables" and the inputs to "integrated change control". In addition to the table and formulas which I mentioned above this "simplified process overview chart" helped me additionally as a look up during the exam.

And with Cornelius’ words I’d like to say:

"This concludes my overview over Exam Prep lessons learned. But before we go…" ;-)

Well, I’m still not at the end of my knowledge share. Here are "my" Exam tips:

1. Take snapshots from the following Prepcast slides of every single episode:

a. Learning goals
b. Review
c. Sample questions

Collect these snapshots on your computer (if not taken from there), copy and paste them into a document and print it out. Use them as a reference or lookup to see if you have really learned these goals and if you think you’re able to answer such sample questions.

2. Learn to write down the table on page 43 of the PMBOK Guide and the most important formulas in 10-15 min’s on 2-3 blank sheets. Such blank sheets are provided at the exam. And if you have the time to write down also the proposed "simplified process overview process chart".

Cheers & Good luck to everyone!!!

Hello there!
I passed the PMP exam on August 08th. I'd like to say that PM PrepCast helped me so much. In addition, the PM PrepCast gave me a lot of examples that helped me to understand better the PMBOK concepts. I'm glad to have chosen the PM PrepCast and passed the exam.

Thank you very much!

Cornelius PM PrepCast's is a great service to people aspiring to earn their PMP and is a cut above the rest, at the lowest price. It teaches you the nuances of Project Management to the finest details. This is best thing that happened to me during my preparation for PMP. Thanks Cornelius

The PM PrepCast is simply one of the best PMP exam prep tools.

It provided a very thorough breakdown of some of the hard, to grasp, concepts of the PMBOK, in an easy and accessible manner.

Truly a must have for any aspiring to be PMPs.

Risalat Zabeer ( Project Manager ) 09/18/2011 08:43am

I used both PM PrepCast and the electronic flashcards.
Both tools were absolutely indispensable! I had taken a terrific exam prep course at a local community college. It provided me a solid foundation in PMI PMP terminology. However, due to a combination of work and personal schedule and the high demand on exam dates before Aug 31, 2011 - I really needed a transportable system to keep up my studying and solidify my knowledge.
I loved loved loved the PM PrepCast significant amount of studying done every morning. It was a productive family vacation - and to top it off - I passed the exam the first time I wrote it - 1 week after a family vacation with my 3 preschool kids!
I have recommended the PM PrepCast system to friends - I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to you!

Elizabeth Ford ( Health Analyst , Guelph, Ontario ) 09/12/2011 02:59pm

First let me start by saying thank you for the excellent way you presented the PMBOK in a straight forward and understandable way. As a person who does not have much extra time in the day I found it almost impossible to study by reading. With the PM PrepCast I was able to listen to the lessons during my 45 minute ride to and from work, as well as my exercise time in the evenings. The mobility and easy of the PM PrepCast allowed me to study for and pass the PMP exam.

Once again I thank you,

PM PrepCast is a great tool to earn the required credits for applying for the PMP exam. It not only helps your earn the contact hours required but helps prepare you for the PMP exam by giving you explanation of concepts, PMI-isms and important topics you should keep in mind.

Interviews from real people who appeared for the PMP exam and several complimentary lessons are really helpful to create a confident mindset towards PMP certification.

I have already recommended this and other PM related products from OSP International to my friends and would recommend it to anyone serious about obtaining PMP certification.

Saurabh Gupta ( PMP , United States ) 09/08/2011 01:43pm

I absolutely loved the PM PrepCast. When I started my journey to PMP, I wanted to treat it a clean slate so was looking for some self study mode, where in I could understand the concepts better and also achieve the 35 hour contact certificate. PM PrepCast helped me achieve both. The biggest USP of the PM PrepCast is the fact that you can listen to it anywhere. The instructor has made every effort to make it more interesting, and kudos to Cornelius. I highly recommend this product for anyone starting the PMP preparation. :)

I passed my PMP exam August 30th, thanks to the PMP PrepCast. I also used Andy Crowe's book, sample questions from a variety of sources and of course the PMBOK. The PrepCast made a significant difference in my studies as it allowed me to study while commuting, cooking, gardening... Many thanks to Ron Holohan and his pm411.org podcast for having recommended the PM PrepCast. I am thrilled to be a part of the PMP community!

Hi,

I passed my PMP exam on first try thanks to your wonderful study package. I used the Rita's 6th Ed Exam Prep book along with the PM PrepCast to prepare. I wrote the exam on the 24th of August at the prometric testing centre in Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa.

All the practical tips and Exam tips you give in the PM PrepCast and by email really make a difference. I tried your online PM Exam Simulator as well the week before I wrote the exam.I found your exam simulator very realistic and assisted in pinpointing areas that I needed to concentrate on. This really assisted with my revision.

Once again thank you for the great resources, I would recommend it to anybody as it really works.

Hello Friends,

I am really excited to announce that I am PMP now. Yesterday 8/30/2011 at 4:57 I've completed my PMP exam.

PM PrepCast and step by step guidance in each lesson by Mr. Cornelius make the path very easy for me to achieve this PMP certification. All you need is dedication and strong belief that you can make it when you have well organized PMP training like PM PrepCast, Rita's book and PMBOK Guide. I've watched PM PrepCast, read RITA's book and PMBOK guide almost 1.5 times and I was clear about all 42 processes, 9 knowledge areas, 5 process groups and more than 500 ITTOs. As per PM PrepCast's instruction, I've tried to go through 600-700 sample exam questions which also helped me to cover the remaining gap about exam.

I would like to give my special thanks to Cornelius. You rock!
:)
Thanks PMP.

Good day all,

I am pleased to announce I passed the PMP on Tuesday of last week right before the east cost earthquake! The PM PrepCast is "THE" study tool to have if you are a visual or hands on learner. I used the PM PrepCast after I read through Rita's book. The PM PrepCast puts the information together in a cohesive way. The visuals and analogies help to bring all the concepts together in your mind. The lessons learned on my end are 1. Make time to study uninterrupted. I was initially struggling due to full time work and a family of four. I had a talk with my family and everyone agreed to give me two uninterrupted hours per day for a month. 2. An overload of resources. Pick TWO preparation aids for example the book and Prepcasts. Make a tri-fold for your dump sheet that is easy to carry and go over it daily. Dump your information daily for two weeks before you test and check it for accuracy. I believe the most important factor is to stay immersed in the material until you test.

Thank you for such a great tool,

Thanks Cornelius,

I passed PMP on 30th Aug, 2011.The PM PrepCast is great reference material. The good part of PM PrepCast is it saves lot of time since you can listen it anytime. Along with PM PrepCast, I just read PMBOK. I think these two provides a project manager enough details about the basic PM standards.

Thanks and regards,

Another happy customer has just passed the PMI PMP certification test using the tools and techniques encompassed within the PM PerpCast products. I found the calculations to be the exact thing I needed to understand and retain all 49 of the PMP equations. The PM Exam Simulator provided the needed examples of test questions to make the testing easier and more relaxed. The other tool just added to the comfort factor required to go and pass the test. Once I was able to pass the sim tests I took the PMI PMP test. I passed with flying colors thanks to PM PrepCast!!!! I will be telling all my Project Management collogues about PM PrepCast and their awesome products. Thanks Cornelius!!!!

Hi Cornelius,

Three month ago have subscribed to the PM PrepCast on 6/9/2011 and earned my PMP Certification on the first try today on 8/30/2011.

I have exclusively used the PM PepCast and the PMBOK Guide as my study material. I must say that the value you get with the PM PrepCast is incredible compared to any high cost classroom training. The Video lessons, the PM Formulas and the Exam Simulator were sufficient preparation to get well prepared. The Email Course and Flash cards were just the icing on the cake.

What I really liked though was the ease of getting the 35 contact hours remotely, since it is difficuly to get English based course work in Japan.

Again, your PM PrepCast Videos, the PM Formulas and the PMP Exam Simulator are an awesome resource I can recommend to everyone working towards the PMP certification remotely.
Thanks again,

The PM PrepCast was THE most important part of my PMP preparation. It presented the dry, complicated PMBOK in small, easy to digest pieces. It was simple to download the material to my iPod, allowing me to listen to it on the way to work, mowing the yard and taking my daily walk. A vital part of any PMP aspirants tool chest.

PM PrepCast is an excellent reference material that greatly enhances chance of passing the PMP exam. I read three other books in addition to the PMBOK guide. At the end, I realized PM PrepCast covers all the concepts and details that I read in the three other books and PMBOK guide. PM PrepCast is a highly summarized and professionally presented online reference material. I highly recommend the PM PrepCast .....

Thank you Cornelius, I took my examination today and passed.

Your guidance, hints and tips during the prepcast really did help supplement my PMBOK studies. I liked the various interviews as it provided real-life feedback from successful students. I found that my test was very much more situational based than theory, so it was crucial I had a indepth understanding of the PMBOK topics. I also took the PMP Exam Simulation tests, which was a helpful way of getting use to a real testing process. Looking forward now to collecting the PDUs, learning more and exchanging my experience with the PMP certified members.

I passed the exam on August 24, 2011. For me, this option was so much better than doing a boot camp or having to go to a formal course. I loaded the PM PrepCast onto my iPhone and then I had my classroom everywhere I went.
I loved being able to watch the same sessions again and again whenever needed. It's hard to get the same out of a classroom session. I would recommend this product to anyone who is serious about passing the PMP exam especially on the first go.

I used PM PrepCast to prepare for the PMP exam which I passed just yesterday. I combined PrepCast with Rita's study book and the PMP Exam simulator. I listened through the episodes once and then repeated the most critical ones a week before the exam. I found the PM PrepCast extremely useful and not just for preparing for the PMP exam but for learning about project management in general, it could be regarded as a decent project management training course for someone who doesn't even want to pass the PMP just yet but wants to gain a solid understanding of how PMBOK-aligned project management works. The PM PrepCast worked well on my iPhone and iPad and even on my Google Reader, so that is definitely a bonus that the content is platform agnostic.

I wish you all the best Cornelius,
Rein

i passed the PMP exam last Aug 18, 2011.

sources of study:

instructor led lesson by processworks (SG based company)
Cornelius Fitchner PM Podcast and PM Formula StudyGuide - repeated some knowledge areas twice
rita mulcahy book - read twice
PMBOK Guide - read once.
4 mock exams from PMStudy

i took this endeavor serioulsy on july 2011 spending around 3-5hrs of daily study. for each chapter that i finish, i will take a knowledge area exam. i took 4 mock exams from PMStudy 8 days before my actual PMP exam to measure my readiness. i was scoring between 83-85% so i thought i should be fine.

the night before the exam, i wanted to sleep but i keep on waking up every 3hours due to exam anxiety perhaps :)

on the day of the exam, before i entered the exam room, the facilitator asked me to put all my belongings in the locker room including any items attached to my body such necklace, bracelet, watch, and the like. the facilitator also asked me to empty my pockets.

on the exam proper , i was expecting the first few questions to be really tough as i read somewhere that it tries to shake the tester's confidence, but to my suprise, i was quite comfortable going thru each of the questions. on the 2nd hour (2hrs and 15mins) , i have completed answering all 200 questions. i utilized the remaining 1hr and 45mins re-reading the marked questions and some unmarked ones. i hit the end exam button 20mins before the 4th hour and then a white screen showed up. it took about 1-2mins after the progress status was completed . as expected, it routed me to a survey question and then afterwards the result that i passed:) yipie! woot! woot!

i do noticed that majority of the questions were about what is best, what is next and what is first. so pls try to focus on that.

I just wrote and passed the PMP exam and i used the PM PrepCast materials with other prep books.
I think personally that the PM PrepCast is the most correct, most detailed and most thorough materials anyone can think of.
The questions in the PMP exam requires thorough understanding and analysis and that is what you get in PM PrepCast.
I recommend this for anyone.

I passed the PMP exam this morning and left the testing center with two thoughts: 1) the PMP exam was one of the harder tests I've taken in my life (rivaling my ConLaw final in college) and 2) if it weren't for my commitment to using the PM PrepCast as my primary study guide there is no way I could have passed.

I began studying for the exam three months ago. I first read the PMBOK guide to get a sense of the terminology used and the overall concepts the guide means to teach. Next, I listened to the PM PrepCast three hours a day every day for about a month. I listened the PM PrepCast on my way to work, while working out and even while cooking dinner.

When I buckled down for the last month of my studies, I combined my reading of the PMBOK guide with the PM PrepCast, and revisited lessons on the PrepCast when something in the PMBOK guide needed further explanation. It was like having a tutor sitting with me at my desk, guiding me toward the answer.

And therein lies the true benefit of the PM PrepCast: its ability to tie the concepts of the PMBOK guide together; weaving 467 pages of raw data into a narrative on how to effectively manage a project.

I would say to anyone interested in taking the PMP exam for the first time this one thing:

Don't risk trying to pass this test on your own. Invest in this service, study intensely for a few months and take as many practice tests as you can.

Thank you, Mr. Fichtner, for developing this valuable service.

Until next time...

Thanks Cornelius for putting together such a comprehensive and affordable podcast course. It really is the cutting-edge way to study for the PMP Exam. I passed the exam on August 14, 2011. For me, this option was so much better than doing a bootcamp or having to go to a formal course because it fit in with my busy lifestyle and family obligations. I loaded the podcast onto my Android phone and then I had my classroom everywhere I went. Need to wait for the kids at gymnastics class? No problem, plug in the the headphones and learn about quality management. Feel like going to the swimming pool today? Great! I can watch a few sessions on Procurement Management while I'm laying out in the sun and not feel like I'm not missing out on fun while I move forward in my studies. Also, I loved being able to watch the same sessions again and again so I could reinforce concepts until I got it. It's hard to do that in a classroom. The price of the product is much more affordable than any course I found on the market, and the material once learned sticks in your memory for the long-term so you can apply it in your daily work. I would recommended this product to anyone who is serious about passing the PMP exam.

Hello,

I just passed my PMP Exam on August 13th. My primary reason for buying PM PrepCast was 35 contact hours. As I started listening to episodes I realized those are very helpful for my study. As mentioned by Cornelius reading a PMBOK was very boring but podcast's made my study very interesting. PMP preparation using podcast was very convenient. I could use my i-phone while travelling to office and whenever I get some free time. There was no need to get in a room or library and study for the exam. I could use podcasts while driving my family to parks or for picnics.

Thank you Cornelius for creating wonderful podcasts. Even thought I was preparing for PMP exam I could spend some quality time with my family because of podcasts.

I purchased the PM PrepCast a few weeks ago and passed the exam on my first trial at the end of July.

I've been a functional manager for 7 years (sales & marketing) for my family company. I did a lot of project management without knowing there was a word for what I was doing !!!

So when I discovered it was an actual profession, I immediately fell in love with it. I had done in practice most of what it is indicated in the PMBOK, but I was completely lacking the formal structure and tools provided by it.

And your course helped me to fast-track the theory, which was a key requirement for me. I just started an MBA program and wanted to get the PMP certification before it started (I figured I'd be too busy during the master).

I chose your study course because I had little time to prepare and I loved the format. I could listen to the classes and the interviews while taking bus/metro to go out with friends, while walking to the beachvolley court and while cleaning my apartment! ok, the cleaning didn't happen very often...

The content was as great as the format! I have to admit that I barely read the PMBOK Guide. I had it always open while watching the classes and underlined the concepts I thought were more interesting or difficult.

I studied with your program for 3 intensive weeks 6/8 hours a day (that's how I spent most of my holidays) and tried 3 full exam simulations (4h each) the days before the exam. I guess this prove that your course is incredibly good and that maybe the PMP is not so difficult after all (and that probably I was lucky too)!

To the question, should I memorize all the ITTOs to pass the exam, my answer is a resounding NO. I didn't and I passed with "Proficient" in 2 areas and "Moderately proficient" in all the rest. So as long as you have some experience and an understanding of the relationships and consequentiality of the processes, you should be fine.

But... in case you want to pass with "Proficient" in all knowledge areas, than you probably should memorize them

FA 08/13/2011 03:59pm

I sat and passed the PMP exam on Aug 3. The PM Prepcast was my primary study tool in order to meet the contact hours requirement and also to study for the exam.

I was looking for a low cost solution and found the PM Prepcast on pmzilla.com. It was a fantastic investment as I found the teaching style to be excellent and well suited to my learning technique of making ever minute count. I listened while driving, waiting at a Dr's office on anywhere for that matter where I could use my MP3 player with video. One key reason the Prepcast worked for me was Cornelius's slow speaking speed. Very important if your learning technique is listening.

I used the newsletters and this site as well as one other study book by Kim Heldman to study for the exam. I also studied with a study partner and this also helped. I read through the PMBOK 1.5 times. But I would say that the Prepcast was my primary means of study. The process took me about 5 months with about 4 months of daily study on avg for 2 hrs.

Must say I am extremely satisfied with the Prepcast and am looking forward to trying some of the other products.

Right from the start, PrepCast impressed me with their efficient, professional manner - an approach that not only inspired confidence, but generated the results I was looking for.I needed an effective method of getting my PMP in the shortest time possible with a comprehensive understanding of this profession. By following and listening to the PrepCast episodes and exam tips,I was able to pass the exam the first time after 5 months of enrolling with PrepCast. I think it was the best in class project management PrepCast due to the fact that they are helpful, knowledgeable in project management and they offer a friendly collection of links and websites to get you through this. I believe that I made the right decision in choosing the PrepCast and took the liberty of inviting PMP potential candidate to register for it.

The PMP PrepCast was a real Godsend for me. After going through my first round of reading PMP exam prep books, it was a breath of fresh air to listen to Cornelius go through each of the PMP sections. I would listen to the PrepCast on my journey to and from work, and during my lunch breaks. It certainly helped cement the fundamentals in my mind as I went through the second round of reading and preparatory exercises. An added bonus was the narrative on what to expect on the actual day of the exam. It really helped putting some of my pre-exam jitters at ease. I contribute having passed first time around to the PMP PrepCast and can't recommend it enough.

Hi All,

I passed the PMP Exam on 29th of July 2011. After some months of hard work, I was very satisfied with the final results.

I would like first of all to thank my wife and my little daughter (2 years old!) for their support and patience.

I would like to share with the community my experience about the preparation strategy I used.

My path started on April 2011; the material I used was:
- PMBOK Guide 4th edition;
- PMP Exam Prep (Rita Mulcahy);
- PM PrepCast by Cornelius Fichtner;
- many sample free questions available on the web.

At the beginning I was not completely sure to achieve the result, so I was not very focused on studying. Furthermore I had a lot to do both at work and at home with my family.
But after the first month I finalized my strategy: I created a detailed plan (keeping in mind a very important phrase from Rita's book: a plan must be realistic, otherwise it's the project manager's fault!) and I tried to stick to it as much as possible, adjusting it if some delays occurred, trying to go faster when I was behind schedule. This helped my to have a forecast of the end date.
My approach was the following:

FIRST PART: acquire an overview of the entire material
1) Use the fantastic material by Cornelius to allow me to understand the topic; I watched 1 lesson per day (2 or 3 during the weekend, no more), taking some notes during the podcast; I’d like to mark that, even if English is not my native language, the material provided by Cornelius is really easy to understand, even because Cornelius uses voice inflection to emphasize important parts of the lesson and to keep you awake!
2) Read the corresponding section of the PMBOK Guide;
3) Read the corresponding section on Rita’s book
4) At the end of each chapter, I did the questions on Rita’s book.

After completion of all lessons and after obtained the certification of the 35 contact hours by PM PrepCast, I booked the PMP Exam. This was about the end of May.

SECOND PART: putting all the material into a whole
I started reading again all the material (PMBOK, Rita’s book, my notes of Cornelius podcasts) to find and understand the interconnections among the different parts. I put a lot of attention in what outputs are inputs to which processes, what are the tools and technique used by more than one processes, and, in general, trying to identify the information flow among processes: this allowed me to really understand the iterative nature of planning processes.
At the end of each chapter, I did the questions on Rita’s book, comparing the results with the first attempt.
When this phase was concluded, I prepared a dump sheet with the main formulas and concepts (I really found useful to memorize the process of how to manage a change request contained in Rita’s book) and started doing some exam tests: the results I obtained were between 65-75%. All the wrong questions helped me to find additional gaps in my preparation.
During this phase I tried to memorize all the ITTOs, but there’s really a big amount of data to remember so I concluded it was better to understand than to memorize: this approach was the right one.
I memorized p. 43 of PMBOK, and I spent a lot of time reviewing Rita’s process chart, memorizing the exact sequence of steps for the planning process group.

THIRD PART: Refine the preparation and fine tune for the exam
The last 13 days before the exam, I repeated the entire material again, and making additional 3-4 exam tests: the results were slightly improving, but never above 80%.

THE EXAM
As suggested by many experienced PMP trainers, I didn’t study the day before the exam: this helped me to relax and to arrive motivated the day of the exam.
As soon as I arrived at the prometric centre, they checked I had nothing in my pockets: the test room was really quite, this helped me to concentrate.
At the beginning I was very nervous, I did the tutorial in about 3 minutes and used the remaining time to write down my dump sheet.
The questions were not so difficult as some I answered in the exam tests. I spent about 2:40 hours to answer all the questions the first time, then I used other 45 minutes to review the marked questions. Then I ended the exam.
I obtained proficient in planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, moderate proficient in the other parts.

My overall impressions are:
- it’s absolutely NOT necessary to memorize the ITTOs: questions involving ITTOs were (at least in my case) really easy to answer;
- it’s important to understand what each process makes and in which process group it is located (I’m referring to the p.43 of PMBOK);
- questions were not so wordy as some I analyzed in the exam tests (at least in my case); the longest were 4-6 lines;
- there are some parts that require memorization: they are clearly marked in Rita’s book;
- It’s not necessary to make 10000 sample questions, I think it’s better to be focused on quality rather than on quantity.

I hope my lessons learned can help someone studying for the PMP exam.

Good luck to everyone,

Donato Gagliarde

I passed my PMP exam yesterday. The PMP PrepCast was a very usuful tool in my self-study program.
It was much easier to watch the videos rather than go through the PMBOK as a starting point. I cleared the exam on my first attempt.

Hi Everyone,
Today, 27th of July, 2011, I passed my PMP test. I want to extend my sincere thanks to PM PrepCast for providing me the "convenience" factor by making the study material available on the go, at all time, on my phone, in my car and everywhere else. Being a mother of two toddlers, it came in very handy. I love the way Cornelius simplifies everything in his lectures. This was much more economical way of getting 35 credit hours than all other options I looked at.I do recommend reading Andy Crowe's book as a back up. Thanks so much!

I am so happy I stumbled across the PM PrepCast. It is worth every penny I paid for it. I used it as my main preparation guide and watched all the episodes over a 3 month period. I was able to pass the exam on my first attempt with just 3 months of preparation. The PM PrepCast broke down the concepts from the PMBOK Guide and really simplified them. The frequent analogy of the abtract concepts and real world experience helped to bridge the gap and really made those concepts that are so dry in the PMBOK Guide, really come to life. I would recommend the PM Prepcast as a must have for all those who are aspiring to pass the PMP. Good luck to you all and thanks a million to Cornelius!

I passed my PMP exam yesterday. The PMP PrepCast was an excellent tool in my self-study program. However, the practice exams were of little use, due to the strange wording of questions, terrible punctuation and inability to see what was wrong about an answer until all 200 questions had been answered. I switched to a product called PMPerfect, that was much, much better. Nonetheless, the Podcasts themselves were excellent in every regard.

I would like to take a moment to thank Mr. Fichtner for his guidance via your PM PrepCast product. It was almost about a year ago that I purchased PM PrepCast in an effort to start my journey towards accomplishing the PMP credential.

I am a professional constantly on the move, while trying to maintain a strong work-life balance. This product helped me stay connected to the material all the time. After a few months of focus, I was finally able to meet my personal objective and clear the examination in the first attempt. Overall, PM PrepCast has been an excellent medium of guidance, both for the preparation of the examination as well as real-time project management in my field of work.

Once again, I want to thank Mr. Fichtner for making a quality product and being a great instructor.

Hi Fichtner,
Thanks for your Project Management PrepCast.
Your prepCast is well structured and organized in making PMBOK4 easy to read. I listened to your PrepCast on my IPOD and even downloaded it on my desktop.Your PrepCast helped me personally because the PMBOK4 is boring and after listened to your PrepCast from start to finish it makes reading PMBOK4,Rita Mulcahy,Andrew Crowe and Margret Cho easier.

The PrepCast to me is a blessing in disguise because i only relied on it with other books to pass my PMP without any classroom settings. So your PrepCast was a guide to me personally.

I pass my PMP on the 28th June, 2011

PM PrepCast was the ultimate solution for me to pass the PMP exam.presented by Cornelius Fichtner i had good video and audio training hours illustrating PMBOK subjects in a simplified way.
the best thing about PM PrepCast is that i could have my lessons at any time that suites me while sitting on my chair or laying on the sofa.
now i had passed the PMP exam from first attempt in 2009,i think PM PrepCast is the best way to pass the exam saving time, effort and money.

I passed PMP exam on 04 July 2011 on my first try. It was a great joy to see “congratulations” note on the screen after 4 hours long exam. PMP newsletter, PMP sample questions & PMP exam tips from “PM PrepCast” were quite helpful in preparation and scoring well in the exam. Thanks to Cornelius and PM PrepCast team.

I purchased PM PrepCast last quarter of 2009 if I remembered it right and used it to review for my PMP credential exam. The PM PrepCast videos explains in great details every chapter of the PMBOK Guide. I really enjoyed watching every video specially with the enchanted voice of Mr. Cornelius Fichtner which further motivated me. I used PM PrepCast for less than 3 months. I'm happy to say that I have passed the PMP credential exam on the 24th of February 2010 with less struggle. Thanks to Mr. Cornelius Fichtner for providing such an informative PM PrepCast. It worth more than its price...

Hi all

I wanted to share my experience with all of you. I have took the PMP exam on the 6th of July 2011 and I have cleared it from the first Time :D:D:D Acutally i have planned very well and studied very hard to earn it. Besides I have done all the 9 exam simulation and really helped me a lot in the real exam. I was already familiar how the exam is going to look like in term of the way how to review the questions and how to selcect the correct one. The Explainations in the simulator actually helped me a lot in chosing the correct answer. So i recommend those who are intending to take their exam to try this product, first study the whole material and then do the simulation exam. this way you will know your weakness area and where you want to strenghten in order to get it right.
All the best to all of you

Although I've been involved in project management for several years, many of the PMBOK terms and nuances were new to me. I found the PM-PODCAST to be most helpful getting me prepared to take the PMI exam. I watched the videos diligently, and also listened to them while driving. I supplemented this training with an weekend crash course and took as many on-line exams as possible (from several sources as recommended in the PODCAST). I passed my exam the first time. Thank you!

I wanted to share this good news that I have passed my PMP exam today. PM PrepCast was not only provided me 35 Contact hrs Certificate for the Exam but also helped in great way to prepare for the exam. I listened to this 3 times before appearing for the exam. At the end, all the hard work really paid off! Its a milestone of my life that I am PMP now!

Bhupinder Singh ( Mr. , Dubai ) 07/05/2011 10:00am

Hi,

For me, passing the PMP exam given the time constraints I had (Work/Home), would have not been possible without the help of using the PrepCast and PM Exam Simulator.

1. The PM PrepCast provided me the PMBOK with clear understanding - chapter-by-chapter - The way it's setup, it sure flows in through the knowledge areas in the correct sequence so as you listen to let's say the section on WBS you can also refer to it in the PMBOK as Cornelius clearly elaborates the concept thoroughly. I felt that I was sitting in a classroom environment; It worked really well for my style of learning.

2. As a confirmation to gaining the necessary knowledge for the exam, I also purchased the PM Exam Simulator in April 2011, and practiced with the quizzes almost daily or directly after completing a knowledge area with 25-50 questions; this confirmed where I was in retention of the subject and or where I had gaps. What really made this PM Exam Simulator so great is the actual PMBOK direct reference (page numbers) of the questions. So if you choose the wrong answer or uncertain, the page reference will allow you to review the correct concept in the PMBOK to reinforce your understanding. I also, practiced couple full tests (4hrs each) a week before the exam. This was the best tool I've used for my studies and was so invaluable without a doubt!!

Other material that I found helpful is reading Rita Mulcahy's book word by word.

Good luck on your studies!

Sam Saliba 06/26/2011 11:33am

I just received my PMP Certification yesteday, (June 24th) and much of the thanks goes to Cornelius Fichtner and the PM PrepCast!

I was enrolled in a Project Management course at DePaul University, where I needed to accumulate 35 PM classroom hours in order to be elgible for the exam. The class was based on PMBOK and therefore, the PMBOK sixth edition.

However, I felt that the PMBOK was to dry and the concepts as they were explained did not fully register in my mind. Cornelius did such a great job of 1) present the material in an entertaining way but 2) he would read content directly from the PMBOK and say "Now that we have read PMBOK's definition let's really break this down into something we can understand".

This podcast is really worth the investment as it allowed me to firm up my understanding of what I needed to understand for the PMP exam.
I purchased the Prepcast on January, 4th 2011

Jason Spears ( Project Manager , HIllside, IL ) 06/25/2011 02:46pm

Hi Cornelius,
I am so glad I found your video PMP PrepCast study aid. It was much easier to watch your presentations rather than go through the PMBOK as a starting point. I cleared the exam on my first attempt.
Thank You!

Mohammed Akhtar ( NetWeaver Team Lead , San Jose ) 06/24/2011 05:30pm

Just passed on my first try! Used the PM PrepCast (thank you, Cornelius!) and Andy Crowe's book, a great combination.

P. Larson 06/14/2011 11:03pm

I get to know this course because I found the flashcards on the appstore. I saw the publishers name and give a shot on the webpage to overview the course. Even at the beginning I had doubts with this course (podcasts!), I experienced on myself, this PM PrepCast is 200 percent complete as opposite to other courses.
I think that the PrepCast has all the stuff you have to read at the PMBOK and what you are supposed to google or research on books, in the PrepCast you have all the materials consolidated. So if you are a very executive business man or woman, or work as a consultant or in a very demanding field, this course will be perfect, as it was to me.

To be honest, I just read the PMBOK once (just 8 chapters- I couldn't manage to read all the book!). All the hard study was on the podcasts. I heard every single podcast on the course (I bought the diamond edition) and make some note taking. During breaks or lunch at work, I read the flashcards over and over, and also during driving time I heard podcasts. For the most difficult topics I heard the podcast twice (time & cost)
Total amount of time hearing podcasts was two months! I passed my exam on june 3...awesome!
I highly rely on the contents PrepCast has to offer.

Hi Cornelius,

I am very excited as I have passed my PMP exam on 9th June 2011. I subscribed your PM PreCcast; Flashcards; Formula Guides and PMP Exam Simulator. I took all your advices that you sent via emails. I read PMBOK once and then reviewed the selected portions two days before I took the exam. I also went through the Glossary section of PMBOK as per your advice.

Major part of my studies was listening to your PM PrepCast lessons. I listened to them many times and they cleared all my points. Please allow me to say that I have passed my PMP just because of your PrepCast lessons. Flashcards, Formula Guides; Exam Simulator and your daily emails helped me a lot in preparing for my exam.

When I started studying for my PMP exam, I did not have a solid Study Plan but after reading your emails on this topic, I made my plan accordingly and followed it.

I am happy that I chose the correct path of subscribing the PM PrepCast and I will recommend it to others too.

Thanks and regards,

The PM PrepCast is one of the mandatory tools I used for PMP exam preparation. It is concise, clear, and convenient. Reading and understanding the PMBOK Guide after using this PrepCast makes a considerable difference.

Highly recommended!

Like most folks, I have a hectic schedule at work and home. I was finding it difficult to isolate large chunks of time in my schedule to sit down and absorb all the material in the PMBOK guide. The PrepCast allowed me to study during my daily commute. I simply wouldn't have passed the exam this year without the PrepCast.

:)I passed on my first try on June 6th. The $99 I paid for your product was worth it. I used my iPhone to watch all of the presentations during my daily commutes to work. I used your product and the Rita Mulcahy book along with a book of sample questions that I bought on Amazon. I found the daily email tips and information especially helpful. Thank you so much!

I passed the PMP exam on first try.
Pm-prep cast by Cornelius is one of main support which enables to get through.
Video provided by PM PrepCast are very helpful. All process groups and knowledge areas are very well elaborated. One thing which i ever feel difficult was forward and backward pass.Cornelius explained and now i feel very simple.
i prefer PM PrepCast over lectures or class training because of two reasons.
1. Videos can be repeated. You can hear concepts again and again which in not possible in class.
2. u can get help from Cornelius by mail as many times as u wish.
Thnx Cornelius and PM PrepCast team

Cornelius, I should have written you long ago. You became my "workout" buddy at the gym in Dec 2010. By Jan 7, 2011, I had my PMP but you are still my "workout buddy" and often telecommute with me as well. Great product! Really helps clarify the PMBOK.

I passed PMP exam on 5/6/2011. PM PrepCast was a very helpful resource to me while I prepared for my PMP exam. I was particularly benefitted by the Podcast recording. Because I have to spend a lot of time in commuting to the office every day, and listening to the lessons during driving saved me a lot of time on preparing for the PMP exam. I found Cornelius's recording very useful because it always points out where the key point is in each knowledge area. This saves me a lot of time from trying to identify the most important parts in the PMBOK Guide.
Thanks to Cornelius!

I got the PM PrepCast in October of last year. That was when I decided that I wanted to go for PMP. After studying the pmbok, the PrepCast came in very handy to understand the various processes, Cornelius has a very good command over the subject and he explains it with graphs and charts, making it easy to retain. I kept listening to various different episodes the PrepCast until a few days before the actual test. I got my certification on 5-13-11.

Ghazi ( Project Manager , California ) 06/05/2011 11:30pm

I took almost a full year to prep on and off for my PMP exam, and ended up using four of the popular texts & study guides (some of which were good, most of which had serious shortcomings), and also subscribed to the PMP PrepCast, used the PMP PrepCast Flash Cards, and, most importantly, purchased the PrepCast PMP Exam Simulator.

I have to say, of all the materials – both paid and free on the web – the PrepCast materials are, across the board, a superior corpus of learning materials and formats. Cornelius Fitchner is an extremely thorough provider of carefully constructed, well-designed, and very complete instructional materials for learning the formulas, concepts, and PMBOK "PMI-isms" needed for the exam and, more importantly, the "real-world" skills you'll need for actually doing Project Management gigs.

The crown jewel of the PrepCast offerings is, IMO, the Exam Simulator. Nine exams presented in an environment that replicates (and, in a lot of good ways, surpasses) the real exam.

I passed the exam on my first try, and I honestly believe if were not for the simulator, and the other wonderful, regular, invaluable information broadcasts from Cornelius, I'd have failed.

The PrepCast support was also excellent. Issues that I brought up. and questions that I rasied, were answered promptly and fully, something that I found rare or lacking in all the other products.

Bravo! for this product. Bravo!

Thank you. I found your PrepCast invaluable while studying for the PMP exam! Having it on my iPad and spending 2 hours per night with it really made a difference. I found that things were explained in a clear way and the examples given made difficult concepts not only easier to grasp, but also easy to remember for the exam. Just took the test today, and couldn't be happier!

Cheers! (I suspect I'll be saying that alot tonight...)

The PM PrepCast was critical in my studies leading up to (and passing) the PMP exam. I have a 30 minute commute twice a day and was able to absorb the information over the course of six weeks or so. My learning style is very visual and enjoys clear and precise instruction. The design of the PM PrepCast worked perfectly for me. Not only was the PrepCast full of relevant PMBOK related concepts and information, it also provided great advice for how to study, how to prepare for the day of the exam, and more. I did take some online prep exams to figure out where I was at and spent additional time studying and using formulas and other practice materials but the PrepCast was my primary tool. I also really enjoyed listening to Cornelius Fichtner's voice. I think many other's would sound boring and have trouble keeping my attention. Cornelius's unique speaking style and delivery methods kept me listening even after a long day at work.
